If you can believe it or not, Planned Parenthood teaches the sex education classes at my middle school. (Yes, the school board actually allows an activist organization to teach sex ed.) It was amazing some of the things they said. They actually let us know that sex before 18 was illegal. However, then they told us not to worry about breaking it because the police will never catch you. As the week went on it actually seemed like they were promoting juvinile sex. The instructor gleefully talked about how to put a condom on. She explained how flavored condoms could make oral sex a more enjoyable experience. I had to practically force her to say that lying to your parents about sex was a bad thing(I did this by asking her if lying to your parents about sex was a bad thing during annonymous question time.) Even then she didn't seem too sincere. If you have a middle or high school student in the Sacramento Unified School District or many other school districts, this is what your kids are learning. Please, for their sake, give them a good talk about not having sex until marrage before this is taught at your child's school.
P.S. I am planning on starting a Conservative Club at my High School sometime this upcoming year after I get to know the school(I'm an incoming freshman.) Getting PP out will certainly be a priority
Thank you for the eye opening account, and welcome to FR. Good luck with starting your conservative club.
By the way, have you discussed what was taught in class with your parents? Perhaps they could complain and get this person from PP out of your school.
Just out of curiousity, how old do you think the gal was that was telling you these things? (I'm betting she is unmarried and under 25)
But in the Clinton White House he was pre-empted by a speech telling the newbies that if they do drugs or they're fooling around to be sure and not let anyone find out. Be discreet.
If I were you I would demand to be excused from that class and fill the hour with study hall. Your parents can do that, and other kids' parents as well.
Sure would be a slap in the face to that PP broad if half the class "opted out."
I am so sorry to hear you had to go through this. Stay strong. You will be richly rewarded in marriage. I am so thankful that my husband and I have no memories to cloud our love for each other.
No, I would want to stay so that I can continue to inform the public about what is really being taught to kids. But a good idea.
Define "strange." Are we talking the sixties hippie look with beads, tangled and braided hair with multi-color clothing plus some kind of weird symbol dangling from her neck?
Great job!
I'm speechless....especially since my son is starting 8th grade next month. Fortunately, since learning of some of the things that are taught (and not taught) at school, we've had several discussions on this subject.
It is a troll of s different variety.
IMO, not welcome here,
Talk among yourselves
Thank goodness my kids are all grown!!!! They asked me about sex, I told them the truth, how ever much information was appropriate for their age level. My daughter started asking questions at age 5, and I just told her the truth. We don't NEED Planned parenthood.
I had a psychology teacher who had us draw up our own astrology charts. She was into wicca. We did all sorts of weird things in that class. None of this was approved educational material, but high schoolers rarely tell their parents what's going on. I didn't. But I grew up, had a son, and chose to home school for just these sorts of reasons.
Excellent book. I highly recommend it for any young person- even those who like school. It's food for thought, if nothing else.
Welcome to the world of government-controlled institutions. Lucky for you, God put something inside you to help you fight it, something that will stick with you throughout your whole life... a soul.
It's just another one of those topsy-turvy things when the student is more mature than the teacher. I see that stuff happening more and more often these days.
A pity you can't tape this class and get it to a media outlet. Can you slip a tapeplayer in a purse or back pack? This would simply be dynomite.
we had a smiliar deal in St.Paul schools a few years back.
A guy running for school board actually was employed by the
"clinic" that was allowed to dispense BC . Furthermore, they
want to give it without parental consent to minors. Keep in mind you can't even get a school nurse to give a kid a friggin' asprin.
good luck to you.run for school board when you graduate.
you'd be the most in touch with reality of go'mint edumacation.
