I don't think to take an accusatory strategy in that regard would be helpful. We would look desperate, because the question has an easy answer that cannot be verified anyway, so what's the point in asking it?

His socialism and his views on the willful neglect of living, breathing babies out of the womb should be sufficient.

I think the question could be posed in a very professional way. Something along the lines of:

" Because so many people in today's world have questions about the Muslim faith, and because it has been stated that your parents and grandparents are Muslims, that you bear a Muslim name, in fact, but that you profess to be a Christain, would you be willing to assure those you might represent that you do not view the Christains and Jewish peoples ( along with other non-muslim faiths) of America as infidels? Would you be willing to say so in a direct statement?"

This is poorly worded, by you catch my drift, I'm sure. I know I would like to ask him a question about his heritage, why not? If we are the sum of our experiences, then this matters in today's world of creeping terrorism.
