Silly. This is the type of nonsense I expect of the left.

Jmstein7, that wouldn't be you who is described in the article, would it? If so, bravo.

I think he's satirizing the MoveOn.org complaint against Fox News.

I don't think it's silly at all. In fact, it's about freaking time. But, I'm not sure how much good it's going to do...

Yeah, I know. But didn't they toss that suit about FOX news though? If so, it seems like a waste of your time.

Well, seeing how Don'tMoveon.org did the same thing to Fox News, it is only fair to give the New York Slimes a little bit of heat.

Is it a satire? I can't tell. The source is Talon News. If it is satirical, then you got me...

FTC should not be in the business of controlling the editorial content of newspapers, or TV shows. If the NYT or FoxNews or the Washington Times want to say something, that is their right!
But I do agree that media monopolies are a bad thing. It tends to homogenize the news. I think forcing the New York Times & Time-Warner to divest themselves of certain media properties is a good idea. The country benefits when there is competition in the marketplace of ideas.

No, they haven't entertained it yet.
Now the libs have a problem... if their move against Fox succeeds, then it will create a precedent that will allow my claim to succeed. And, a victory against the NYT is a far greater victory than one against Fox.

Polls aren't editorial when they claim to be unbiased.

Polls aren't editorial when they claim to be unbiased. I agree.
My problem with the Times is not its liberalism. It is that it has a liberal bias, while pretending to be objective.

And I would suggest doing so, as "complaints" to the FTC are mere petitions for action; so the more they receive, the better.

To: jmstein7
LOL!
Good one.
I wonder if the NYT will run a story on this.
To: Teplukin
That's my issue too. I hate having to read the NYT through a veil of skepticism, especially since my hometown newspaper is a subsidiary of the Times (Boston Globe). So, getting unbiased print news is hard in these parts.
