Maybe Michael Moore's lawyers filed an injunction to stop them from using his name in the title...
That would be odd because Michael Moore ignored Ray Bradbury's attempts to reclaim the Fahrenheit title from Michael Moore.
July 22, 2004 - Wow... it's really good.
I am absolutely blown away by how well Michael Moore Hates America has turned out. We're finishing our third pass right now. It's funny, heartfelt and moving
and better than I expected. Chris, Carr, Maura, Curt, Brian, Greg, Levi, Bob and I have created something that is meaningful, and I'm so excited for you to see it. We're coming down to the end of this journey, and every single person who worked on the film, who donated their hard-earned cash to help us move forward or sent an email telling me not to give up when I really wanted to has my deepest gratitude.
We've had distributors flying in this week to screen the film and more will be looking at it in the next few days. The reaction has been gratifying
which makes the struggles of the last 18 months worth it.
We'll be shacked up in the edit suite to tighten the film, add more sparkle and work with Bob and Levi to get the score just right. After that, and after the distribution deal is finished, the MMHA World Tour will begin.
And for those of you who have emailed me as of late, I'm several days behind on reading and responding to those because of the massive amount of time the edit has taken up. I'll try to get through some of it today
I'll check in again soon.
Take care,
Mike Wilson
Director, Michael Moore Hates America
Yes, this is the last entry.
I was hoping someone may have heard something more since this entry.
I don't know, but I look forward to seeing the movie. I hope it comes out okay.
I hope the producer and distributor send copies out to the soldiers in Iraq and Afghanistan immediately. They should be able to see the real America, as opposed to Michael Moore's warped vision.
Why do we even bother? Republicans can not fight their way out of a wet paper bag.
But if you're going to do yourself in, at least take out Lanny Davis with you.
Is he still alive?
They're adding lightsaber effects in post-production.
I am eager to see it.....hope it comes out very soon.
Wonder if he's having trouble gettting theaters to show it?
LMFAO
Well, if the Republicans can't or won't do it, then we MUST do it.
The Swiftboat Veterans for truth is one way, and there are a number of other conservative 527's we can support to get the word out.
If the Republicans won't fight for the truth, then we have to step up to the front line and fight for the truth ourselves.
The Republicans are a bunch of Cowards, they had better go on the offense and get a little intestinal fortitude going after the convention, or we may lose this thing.
How dare you say "Republicans are cowards!"
They are NOT cowards!
(They're pvssies...)
Tell us more...
Funny story:
Last weekend, my wife visited her mother who lives about 200 miles away. They went to an art fair, and were bombarded with Sen. Kerry supporters.
KID: Would you like a Sen. Kerry bumper sticker?
WIFE: Would you like a punch in the nose?
MOTHER: I would like one of those bumper stickers...
WIFE: Mother, if you take one of those, you will walk home.
KID: Hey lady, take one and I will drive you home.
MOTHER: Takes a Kerry sticker and places it upon her breast.
Wife and mother finished and return to the car.
WIFE: Mother, I was very serious. You will not have that Kerry crap in my car! Get out and walk home if you insist.
MOTHER: Sorry, I was just teasing with you and had no idea how serious you were about this.
ROFLMAO!!
I stand corrected....
I was looking forward to the movie too.
But if it DOES come out, I hope they can come up with better
and 'catchy' title that won't turn off middle-of-the-roaders.
We don't need the movie to JUST preach to the choir.
It will be a tough road to hoe anyway. I don't believe
"America's heart and soul" was far-right but look how
few theaters it got into. B.O.M says it was 98 theaters
on its best weekend.
I don't think the word 'hate' sells.
But some variation on the "big fat white guy" might.
