Fine Las Vegas Dining for the Kerrys

Senator Kerry, as your tour over "Flyover Country" continues, it must be really hard on your stomachs. You and the missus are used to the finest cuisine and now have to look like you are eating like the locals. All the little people are so impressed! I know you must have been embarassed by the revelation that you ate on the bus at stop and threw the local food in the garbage. We all saw that you really didn't eat at Wendy's. I mean, everyone thought you were eating at Wendy's, but then you had some take out at a more "substantial" place for some decent food. I know that a wealthy "Uber" class person such as yourself wants to really eat the way you are used to. So, as a service to your campaign, I am doing a little research on your next pitstop on the way to the White House.

After extensive research, it seems that the best restaurant at your next stop in Las Vegas seems to be a place called Aristocrat. It has a 3 and a half star review it should make for a decent meal after pretending to eat at some dumpy Los Vegas strip hotel or the local university cafateria. There are probably lots of restaurants to choose from in Las Vegas, but only one Aristocrat (if you know what I mean). Look, you have to take a bite at Wendy's or at Philly cheese steak stand, but then you have to really eat.

Here is the address:

Aristocrat
850 South Rancho Drive
Las Vegas, Nevada 89106-3837
ph: 702.870.1977

Your palates shouldn't suffer while you are out on the stump to gain the office you so rich-ly deserve. -And if it costs a little more so what, the campaign is paying for it anyway.

Just trying to help.

And if any FReepers in Nevada care to help here, I am sure that JFK and the missus will really appreciate it...

Kerry needs to have a fine dinner of "Coney Island Whitefish"...

I'm sure they were going to eat at the Circus Circus buffet, but then John Kerry stormed out after finding out the workers didn't have adequate health insurance.

Ah, but of course.

I am sure that would sound better in French, or with a heavy French accent.

I was thinking more along the lines of Mon Ami at Paris...considering he's French at heart. ;)

Bellagio Buffet for lunch, Le Village (Paris) Buffet for breakfast - on separate days that is. We never miss these places!

I ate at one of those all you can eat prime rib buffets in Vegas ....the meat was tough but if you eat enough of it you can gamble for 2 or 3 days straight without stopping

I am a local and used to enjoy the Mirage Buffet, until the renovation. What used to be a dandy dinner for $ 16.50 became an overpriced meal for $ 20.50. The Bellagio buffet, just down the street, is 24.50 for dinner, BUT for those extra 4 bucks I eat MUCH MUCH better!

I never ate at the Paris, but my other fave nice but a tad pricey $25 buffets are The Alladin and Ceasars (now being renovated, I think).

I really miss the $ 16.50 Mirage Buffet - it was just the perfect impulse meal at a good price for me, with the added bonus of being at my fave Casino, and I could hang out at The Saloon Lagoon/Ava, or otherwise enjoy video poker in a subdued, nice atmosphere.

Now the divide is great - there is a world of difference between most Strip $12-15 dinners and the $ 22.50-25 dinners, so I just go less often but always opt for the nicer places.

What ever happened to all those free meals that they used to have? Well, so I heard anyway....

You can get comped for play but I don't play much. Every few months my play adds up to one free comped meal, which I take advantage of. I am a super low roller!

Tuesday or Wednesday night, Orleans has an all-you-can eat steak buffet. Barring that, I'd spend a few extra bucks for a seafood buffet (and eat nothing but crab legs :-).

The food definitely makes my top 3 reasons to visit.

We've got several decent buffets here in Chattanooga, but Kerry is not welcome here.

Even though "buffet" is clearly a French word, I am certain that the sKerrys would not be caught partaking of such fare.

Very clever idea!

We should keep this up...stay a day ahead of Thurston & Lovey, pinpointing "fine cuisine" establishments along their route.

We could call some swanky French restaurant and say we're with the campaign and want to order baskets of fresh baguettes, crudites, & pate de fois gras for delivery to the bus. Oh, and have it delivered to the press bus, just to make sure they notice! LOL! I'd chip in for that.
