This Friday!
VISTA, CA -- Congressman Darrell Issa will host a town meeting featuring Asa Hutchinson, Under Secretary for Border and Transportation Security on Friday, August 13 for a discussion focusing on immigration enforcement efforts. The meeting will take place at 10:30 a.m., PT in the all-purpose room of Margarita Middle School in Temecula.

Congressman Issa and Under Secretary Hutchinson will discuss issues surrounding immigration enforcement and answer questions from the audience.
Californians interested in attending the town hall are asked to RSVP by e-mailing issa.rsvp@mail.house.gov as seating will be limited.

Southern Californians are outraged in light of evidence Al Queda operatives are using the Mexican border to enter the United States.
MEDIA will be present.
Homeland Security's Asa Hutchinson comes to Southern California *this FRIDAY* to answer *YOUR* questions on border security.
Make sure his handlers understand you won't be managed. Make sure all lame answers are loudly booed. Find out the names of the handlers. Post them here. Make sure there is follow-up.
We should be kind to foreigners. We should respect our fellow human beings as we would like to be respected when Americans travel overseas. Furthermore, when we find illegal aliens, we should find out if they've committed any crimes and if not politely send them home. Most of the time we should send them home, anyway. We should build a nice, smooth and safe fence along our border. Always polite and kind. Speak softly and carry a big stick. Why mess with the formula?
Ya know if the W administration, the INS and Congress really wanted to solve this problem it would only take one law. A nice set of fines for hiring illegals.
$10K first offense
$50K second offense
$100 third offense
10 years incarceration & $100K fine fourth offense
Ya know what, every illegal swinging dick would be back acrooss the border in 6 months...
Tell Asa that he can put my name on the bill when they're running it through Congress
$100K third offense
Event planned while the people who pay taxes work. I wish I could be there but that's not likely. Someone has to support these illegals.
Thank you very much.
I'm going to attend this.
Anyone care to join me for a road trip to
Temecula on Friday?
Glad someone is going.
Dammit! It always happens. I took 2 vacation days this week already, but would love to be there on Friday.
Give them Hell!
Wish you could go, too.
Will be interesting to compare the
media spin with what REALLY happens.
>> if the W administration, the INS and Congress really wanted to solve this problem it would only take one law.
Big IF, since it is quite obvious no one in the Fed Gov. wants to solve the problem.
Can you come to this meeting?
expecting a full report. :) Have you made your RSVP yet?
KFI said they were going to be there, so at least there will be someone that reports it without the liberal feelgood twist to it.
Taking suggestions for your 3x5 card question?
Think that John & Ken's question offers the most "wiggle free" option...giving Asa the least room to maneuver the answer to one of his talking points.
ie. 75% of California's population support the sweeps/deportation of illegal aliens. On what date will the sweeps restart?
Yes, I've RSVP'ed.
You should try to be there.
No I can't.
They really should have these events on a Saturday or Sunday or in the evening at least when most of us who are working are off...
If it were in the afternoon I might be able to break away after lunch but 10:30 would mean I would have to be on the road by 9:30 to make it, meaning I would have to take the entire day off...not gonna happen, sorry.
But I am glad you will be able to go...drive carefully(those CHIPs like their TIX LOL) don't go over 75 and make sure your registration is current
Yes, the chips are always out in full force on the 15!
Appreciate the reminder ;-)
Bump!! Be sure we get a report on this meeting if you get to attend.
I know; the scheduling is irritating and "last minute" but at least it's happening.
