So, like you comin to town for a run, maybe??

You can drive your little Honda without a helmet on your big ugly head and probably just scare the bugs away!!

(well, except the great big juicy ones that cause welts after they splatter across your nose.) :+-)~~

I mentioned OCC in the other thread - from American Chopper on Discovery. Wonder if Paul and Jr. showed up - hoarse from screaming at each other?

I wondered in that other thread about Will Smith, too. Was he upset, perhaps, in that photo because the studio didn't give him that bike (or did they, and he just couldn't ride it?) ?

I believe the bike you are referring to is sitting in the OCC corral at Sturgis as we speak. Saw it Friday while doing a job in Sturgis before it got so crowded we couldn't do a job in Sturgis. Sr. and Jr. are supposed to be there this Thursday to sign autographs. Had lunch in Rapid City yesterday, with a friend from Spearfish SD which is a 45 minute drive from Rapid City through Sturgis. It took an hour and ten minutes Monday, because of the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Isn't September when all the love-bugs are flying?

Eh,, they come and go. After dealing with them for so long, they're just an annoyance. They don't splatter, they don't hurt and since they got here (in the late 60's I believe) all they do is paint you &/or your vehicle black, white & red dot.

Just don't leave em stuck to the paint too long.(Coat your bike with Lemon Pledge and they just wash off)

AND they taste like crap, so the advice every fall is to "keep your mouth shut and ride".

Can't say that for some other critters that fly at night!

A fully mature June Bug between the eyes at 90 mph can really ruin your ride! (almost went off the road...and it took hours to ice down the swelling!)

I believe it's next month that the local HOG chapter has a yearly "bug run". They take a run around Lake Okeechobee. Then, checking with a wooden ruler, the biggest splattered disgusting goo infested slime mess wins!

When you're bored, gassed up, with time to kill, anything is fun!
