Live! Nightline is doing a story on the Kerry Vietnam controversy. I notice the correspondent is Jake Tapper, formerly a liberal reporter for Salon. We'll see...
That is the strangest thing! I am so glad you saw it too as I was beginning to think I dreamed it. There is no mention of the adm. taking it down but it had to be taken off...Now I am wondering if there is really something to the story??? time will tell..thx for your response
Perhaps the people who bashed O'Reilly earlier should offer an apology. At least he let the Swiftee speak his mind for 70% of the time alloted. Contrast to this Bolshevik-style hit piece.
Lets see, the correct leftist answer is "Its not un-patriotic to question our leaders ...unless they are Democrats"
Blackout time will not affect most Democrat 527s, which will bash Bush up until Nov 1. Of course McCain will say NOTHING about it. Thankfully there is a GOP 527 coming this month which will challenge them.
John Kerry isn't Irish? He lied? I am shocked, shocked.
Then what were all the photos of Kerry in a kilt at the Ancient Order or Hibernians' dinners?
Could we have another Dem who plays fast and loose with the truth? Another Slick?....... oh no! it can''t be... two sociopath pathologocal liars in a row.....could it?
I just watched your report on the Kerry and the vets. Clearly, it is impossible for journalists at ABC to have missed the fact that Senator Kerry has made his four months in Vietnam the foundation of his Presidential campaign. Yet, you spent a large portion of tonight's show questioning why Vietnam has become an issue during this 2004 election. The issue receiving the most focus was whether questions concerning Senator Kerry's service would shift any veteran votes. You hopefully assumed it would not.
What your show really revealed tonight was why the average American no longer relies on shows like Nightline to gain honest insight to an issue. In the last several days, tens of millions of Americans have already viewed the Swiftvets ad. Most of them are not military veterans. They have already read factual evidence from representatives on both sides of the issue. On the most popular cable news channel tonight, they learned that Senator Kerry's claim that he spent Christmas of 1968 in Cambodia is factually incorrect and that the Kerry campaign is struggling to explain his statements regarding an incident he claimed was "seared into his brain". Across the internet and airwaves, Senator Kerry's record in Vietnam has become a hot topic of conversation. Not just for veterans. A book questioning his military record is now #1 on Amazon.
Senator Kerry is using his service during Vietnam to attract the non-veteran vote as well as the veteran vote. And questions concerning that service impact all voters. Not just veterans. Your failure tonight to understand the growing interest in Senator Kerry's military career is further evidence you have not yet grasped the fact that most of your viewers are probably more broadly and well informed on the topic than the hosts of your show. Your information is obsolete even before it airs. That is probably appropriate, because clearly the usefulness of "news" shows like Nightline is also becoming obsolete. After watching Nightline tonight, I rest assured that your inevitable demise will be no one's loss.
I did a quick check of news sites and no one had it up on their site. Somebody must have misheard something. . .dang it!!
Hey media, give us the truth. We CAN handle it.
In fact, we are dying for it.
Good One!!!
ABC "News", home of DNC shills Jake Tapper, George Steponallofus, and little Dick Clarke.
ouch.
That's for sure. But they do know about hypocrisy. The younger they are, the more radioactive an issue it is, and Kerry has been outed as an utter hypocrite. Running on his military credentials, and there he was in black and white, betraying and besmirching his comrades in arms.
Incidentally, remember the rude awakening Howard Dean got in Iowa? When all his youthful, vocal, generous supporters failed to turn out and vote for him? "Huh? Vote? Dude, that was today?" If they couldn't bestir themselves for Dean, will they get out and vote for John Kerry?
Kerry is alienating people on more levels than Al Gore ever dreamed of. Tonight, Nightline did the expected hit piece, but it also showed another ugly side of the many-ugly-faceted John Kerry.
Contact Amazon.com about their using McCain in the editorial review. I sent them an email saying that I will no longer be a shopper of theirs.
Nice idea, but it won't work. It's been tried before. They just say it's their business to provide whatever the public wants.
John Kerry isn't Irish? He lied? I am shocked, shocked.
I thought he said he was Jewish.....or was it Catholic? Who can tell?
Great Email! Don't know it will make any sense to those folks. They're low on kool-aid, doncha know.
Great pic---I salute you. When they say one picture's worth a thousand words, they mean pictures like that.
Do you remember the first time you realized the media REALLY is biased? That moment when you "got it"? Some of our fellow citizens are on their way to that moment. Then they will be on our side.
Yes they did mention all those things...but as advertisements and incitements.
