I have just heard on KVI Talk Radio (John Carlson show) that they have just been told from a source on the ground in Iraq that al-Sadar has just been captured. They are waiting for more info. This person, I believe a soldier, John says is a very reliable source for news on the ground. Keeping my fingers crossed. John Carlson said he will provide more details as it comes in.
I've been listening to KVI for an hour now and they haven't mentioned it.

Just out of curiousity, has this story been confirmed by some other source than KVI?
We can capture him anytime we want to. I could really care less. The important thing is not making this guy into a bigger thorn than he already is, which is what we will be facing if we take him into custody.
I've wondered if he has helped Zarquawi keep hidden so that he wouldn't be captured and if they can get his whereabouts from him. I hope so!

I used to think that would be the case, but that was when he had a really popular uprising going. Now he's just being a pain to the Iraqis and Coalition and his troups are being dessimated. I think the best thing would be to 'splat' him. That would demoralize his followers and I doubt if he would be seen as a martyr as originally feared because he's not popular with the mullahs or regular Iraqis.
Sheesh, this guy's been captured too many times.
What I'd like to know is, how does he keep getting away?
