The Homeland Security Department mandates that federal air marshals must have neatly trimmed hair, and men must be clean-shaven.
The issue took on renewed urgency last month, when two marshals were removed from a Southwest Airlines flight leaving Cleveland Hopkins International Airport, after a supervisor saw them improperly dressed.

Air Marshals Worry They're Easy To SpotObviously being undercover isn't so important, cuz these guys are pretty danged easy to spot. Maybe their MO is prevention rather than intervention.

I worked for a major airline recently (15yrs down the tubes, 9-11 hit us hard after one of our planes hit the 2nd tower) The air marshals are obvious to spot to the frequent flier. Take note that Atta and his "Band of Brothers" were members of 3 airlines' frequent flier clubs. (the big 3 US flagged ships) The supervisors have even more stricter dress codes. I knew a few agents that would change in the lavatory as soon as they got onboard (they board and search the plane before passengers get on, and then sometimes mix with the crowd at the gate to board with the rest.) I spot them all the time. If an airline was serious about defending their planes they would have their OWN security force on board just like the Israeli's do. I know I would sign up for that job, and it would ease costs to the federal government as well as the airlines.

Keep majority-Muslim citizens off US planes, as well as Muslims from countries like France & England. Problem solved, mostly. There probably aren't *that* many "blond Muslims" (like the Chechnyan terrorist on the TV show "The Grid") to go around.

I think they should stand a the front of the aisle with a M-16 across his front........... That would be a plane I would be happy to be on!
