Same sex marriage is the "Reefer Madness" of the new millenium. This article is silly.

Agreed. If you listen to some FReepers, you'd think the entire world was in danger of turning gay. Well, at least then we would all have well-decorated houses and good taste in clothes.

Apparently you haven't read anything that Scripter and/or EdReform post, or clicked their links, or read any of the Homosexual Agenda archives.

It's a lot deeper than you think. What about all the pro-homosexual teaching in schools? It's happening as we speak. What about the "Day of Silence" and special "gay" counselors advising adolescents about their sexual orientation? What about clubs with homosexual advisors? Etc.

What about the "hate crimes" laws? Teddy Kennedy is perennially attempting to make sexual orientation added to the federal hate crimes law. You think beating up a homosexual should have a heavier punishment than someone beating up your or my old father?

Gay activists are drooling with anticipation, hoping to get "hatespeech" laws on the books, as they are in Sweden, Canada and other places.

You like restrictions on free speech? Or freedom of association? You like forced "sensitivity" (iow- gay friendly) training for various jobs? Or in CA, for foster parents. Mandatory.

You ought to read some stuff, you will see that it is a very serious threat to freedom.

Why not address some of the serious points Scripter and EdReform make? People like you who tacitly support the gay agenda by saying it doesn't exist don't really make any points in the debate.

What do you think about the state mandated law in CA (since 2001) which require all public schools, grades K-12, to have pro-"gay" cirriculum? I live here, I've read about it. It's real, not fiction. What do you think? Do you think Planned Parenthood and others should by law come into every classroom and promote homosexuality to LITTLE kids as normal and natural, and make fun of and denounce anyone who thinks differently?

That's what is actually happening.

The author makes it sound as though there are legions of males throughout America chomping at the bit for same-sex marriage to be legalized so they can, uh...start being gay, I guess.

I'm sure gay groups have an agenda, but I'm not really concerned that they'll 'turn' a significant amount of Americans gay. Even if they do, so what? If people want to engage homosexual sex, what do I care?

We conservatives are always talking about "states rights" and how local government is best suited to deal with things like social issues.

Well, it looks like the good people of the Golden State, through their elected representatives, have made a decision that this is the type of curriculum they want in their schools. People in California can get the law changed, send their kids to private school, they can home school or they can leave the state if they don't like what's being taught.

Yup. Thank goodness that I got married (to a woman) before same-sex marriage became legal or I would have run off to Massachusetts with my hair dresser </sarcasm

In order for homosexuality to be accepted as normal and parallel within society it will be necessary to conclude that duality is an escape hatch from the duties, responsibilities and consequences of poor choices which means that bisexuality is a starting point to which one may return at will.

This destroys both the biological and political arguments for and against the distinction of homosexuality per se and all contracts will thenceforth be "gender-neutral."

Exactly. And now the sodomites are using the federal laws (14th ammendment) to cram gay marriage down our throats because they managed to corrupt one court in massachusettes.

If they want to all move somewhere where they can practice their perversion away from us (such as sweden) then they are free to go. They cannot force us to accept their behavior (and that is all it is, just a chosen behavior) and have access to our children. The people of the US will never accept sodomites as being mentally healthy.

Unfortunately we now come to the point of having to seek a federal protection from a state issue because one state was corrupted.

OK, so how is the Mass. "gay" marriage judicial decision a peoples' choice? One judge gets to invent a new kind of "marriage" that has never been seen before in the history of the world, that a large majority of Americans do not want?

One more question, if you would be so kind.

Do you consider same sex acts to be normal, natural and morally benign? Or the opposite?

And what's your viewpoint on the fact (and it is a fact) that the rate of child molestation is much higher among homosexuals? Since that is true, then more homosexuals means more child molestation. That's ok with you?

Is this what you call states' rights?

I call it totalitarianism by leftist judges.

Funny that your "conservative" views exactly mirror liefts' - on this issue.

Sorry for the almost duplicate. Computer is being even worse than usual.

Note - are you being purposely obtuse?

It's the KIDS that are prone to being seduced/molested into homosexuality. But apparently you don't see anything wrong with that.

LOL. Well, taste varies I guess. If the "Queer Eye" crew showed up at my house, I'd turn out the lights and be as quiet as possible.

Already there are rules prohibiting guys from playing sports. There are more programs for girls than boys, and there is a federal rule which can prohibit boys from having sports programmes.

Please, fill us in on the details. This should be interesting.

I suppose you're referring to Title VII. It does not prohibit men's sports. That is result of schools responding to a well-intentioned but misguided government regulation. The law of unintended consequences in effect.

In ten years, homosexual sed ed will have to be taught on an equal time footing with heterosexual sex ed. The NEA, the ACLU and activist judges will demand it.

"Little Johnny, you can't really know if you're gay or straight until you try both ways. Your 'special friend' Billy wants to try, don't you? Just be sure to use a good lubricant, like we showed you hear in class."

I weep for my nation.

You don't speak for all of America, I assure you. And I can equally assure you that some people in America see your rhetoric as fundamentalist, hate-filled demogogeury and consider that a sign of mental illness.

Not that I'm saying that. But some would.

You're right. I only speak for about 70% (as shown by the latest Missouri polls which are the most recent)

So in the general sense in which it was originally intended (and which is conmmon English usage). The people of the US will never accept sodomy as normal
