WASHINGTON - With Iran stepping up its nuclear program, a top White House aide said Sunday the world finally is "worried and suspicious" over the Iranians' intentions and is determined not to let Tehran produce a nuclear weapon.
National security adviser Condoleezza Rice also said the Bush administration sees a new international willingness to act against Iran's nuclear program. She credited the changed attitude to the Americans' insistence that Iran's effort put the world in peril.

These folks ain't going to go down as easy as iraq. There's a lot more of them and it's a much bigger country. I'd like to see us develop a huge fifth column in their country, destabilize their currency, mess up their infrastructure and do some clandestine hits on their stuff.
Let's sprinkle some shit in their rice bowl for a change.

On NBC's "Meet the Press," Rice reasserted that the world has fallen in line on Iran and said she expects next month to get a very strong statement from the IAEA "that Iran will either be isolated, or it will submit to the will of the international community."Anticipated response from Iranian spokeman:

No full scale...just 100 MOABs strategically dropped to send THE message. I dont want to rebuild Iran..I dont care about them. Do it the humane way from 10,000 feet and then send the bill to the Iranian people.

I read in my local paper that Rice,Powell, and Rumsfeld are all leaving their positions after this term. The way the press has treated them, it's no wonder. I wish Condi would run for President at least once though. It would be hard for the dems to play the race card on her when even the most redneck, gun totin' un-pc pubbies are voting enmasse for the first female president. And she also happens to be black.

It seems to me that this presidential election will determine whether or not America becomes "Israelized." By that, I mean we will see if we will respond to crisis with consistency, according to American principles, or vascillate based upon unsettled reactions to threats to our security, first to "conservative," then to "liberal," back to "conservative," then "liberal," etc....

I'll try to post the article.I think it was an AP story, (surprise). It's just that I'm more of a reader here than a poster. There are freepers who specialize in getting the stories here very fast, and this old 1998 Compaq(Dial up)isn't what it used to be.
