I`ve met about 8 to 10 women at work who say they only vote for who their husbands tell them to. They say they are republicans and I just don`t get that. What a load of crap! I wonder who told her to tell you that?

Not here....I do the leg work and make a decision based on my conscience. No one is going to tell me who to vote for.

"Just struck me as weird, these are older women (a lot older than I am) and they`ve raised children, work at jobs, and still can`t make their own decisions at the voting booth? Of course they can make their own decisions at the voting booth. However, many women aren't particularly interested in following politics closely enough to make a truly informed decision. My wife knows I follow politics far more closely than she does, so she "does" ask me who I plan to vote for. But in no form or fashion do I "tell her who to vote for" in the sense of commanding her to do so. Any decision is her own (after all, it "is" a secret ballot).

All I know is I am a Republican male who does whatever his girlfriend tells him to do. It doesn't involve voting but it covers almost everything else! ;-)

ROTFLMAO!
Sounds like the questioner is such a jerk that the women who work with her have decided to have some fun...
Actually, I thought Republican women told their husbands who to vote for, diplomatically of course!

This has to be a joke. NO ONE can tell another person how to vote, or for whom. They can only suggest.
Once in the booth, only your voting machine knows for sure.

Yes. Yes, they do. They also spend all their time cooking and cleaning and mixing perfect dry martinis for their husbands. Oh, and producing children.
Why yes, I am single. Why do you ask?

But I thought women always voted for the "prettiest" one. (ducking and running)

Not Mrs. Switch!:(
Of course on November 2 we'll vote for the same candidates.

I entered into this marriage fourteen years ago as a Republican as did my hubby. So no, I don't let my hubby tell me who I should or shouldn't vote for. If anything, it's me who is more political in this relationship. We both keep up on the issues, but I'm more passionate about it.

If this is for real, your friend needs a reality check!!!!Yes, I believe so. I ordinarily wouldn't entertain views like this from someone so vehemently opposed to Conservatism and/or the G.O.P. but I believe her to be open to at least hearing why her viewpoint(s) are skewed and inaccurate.

I'll not only ditto that, I'll say that in our family, I'm the one who is more politically inclined. My hubby seeks out my opinion, and asks for the latest info (which he knows I have a better shot at of being informed about).

I`m sure democratic women do the same in some instances but I haven`t met one yet.Of course not. The Democrat husbands do.
