Now on Tholidamide.
His audience is too young to know anything about it.

Stossel is making a surprisingly compelling case against all regulation. He just gave the best Drug War critique I've heard (and I am generally prohibitionist).

Go, John, go!!

He's evidently been reading
Hayek, given his use of the phrase "planned economies."

We don't have enough anti-statists, IMO.
Will this be re-run tonight? I was away from the toob today...

I think CSPAN has a schedule page on the Web. CSPAN is more interesting than the chatter box pay TV and network talking head shows.

Next to Hume and Cavuto, he's the best guy on TV news. Pure libertarian, but I like him all the same.

I forgot they had a website. Sometimes I get wrapped up in other things... I'll go scope it out.

Thalidomide. Still a great drug once they got the enantiomer problem identified.

Maybe so, but Thalidomide, or its misuse, has ruined a lot of lives.
My point was; that all happened long before his college aged audience was ever born.

Better than Boortz' Drug War critiques? Must be good, then.
I think the best one is a line Walter Williams uses when he subs for Limabaugh: "I own my body. It does not belong to the government." Think I'll steal it for my tag. I don't think he'll mind.
We need a thousand more Stossels on the airwaves. That would be a good start...

"America's founding fathers fought a war for liberty and we're giving it away bit by bit."
Great comment!
He's wrong about same sex "marriage," though. It can clearly be thought of as a Libertarian idea that the state may not redefine a shared value from the seats of the legislature and the benches of our courts.
I wish some Libertarians would get a clue about this.

Why doesn't anyone else in America that I've ever met have an iota of the common sense that I see from Stossel in this Q&A session?
In person, anyway. Don't take offense, fellow FR'ers
