The Third Terrorist: The Middle Eastern Connection to the Oklahoma City Bombing," by Jayna Davis, edged ahead of President Clinton's memoir "My Life" on Amazon.com's sales list to No. 9.
In her engaging book, Davis lays out a disturbing scenario of law-enforcement failures under the Clinton administration and suggests the Sept. 11 attacks possibly could have been prevented if evidence of an Iraqi and al-Qaida link to OKC had been pursued.
"The Third Terrorist" offers a compelling body of evidence that illustrates how Iraqi intelligence agents infiltrated the United States to recruit and assist executed murderer Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols in the April 19, 1995, bombing evidence the FBI refused to receive from Davis and investigate in 1997. Among the many revelations are court records that suggest one of McVeigh's and Nichols's accused Middle Eastern handlers had foreknowledge of the 9-11 plot.
As WorldNetDaily reported, at a 9-11 Commission hearing this month, former FBI Director Louis Freeh was asked about Davis' book and whether or not he lent credibility to a theory that Iraq was involved in the OKC bombing.
Davis noted Freeh was careful to say he knew of no other "credible source," instead of dismissing the premise of the book outright.
In an interview with WND in October 2001, attorney David Schippers, who prosecuted the House of Representatives' impeachment case against Bill Clinton, said his examination of the evidence Davis presented him was conclusive.
"I am thoroughly convinced that there was a dead-bang Middle Eastern connection in the Oklahoma City bombing," he said.
Commented R. James Woolsey, director of central intelligence, from 1993-1995: "This fascinating product of Jayna Davis' thorough and dogged investigative reporting effectively shifts the burden of proof to those who would still contend that McVeigh and Nichols executed the 1995 Oklahoma City bombing without the support of a group or groups from the Middle East."
I heard a lenghthy interview with Jayna two nights ago on Coast to Coast. She's very convincing. Her allegations throw the entire matter of the WTC attack right back on the Clinton administration where it belongs. As I recall, she stated that an Iraqi seen with Nichols and McVeigh later took at job at Boston National airport.
She says you can read much of the book at her web site. Just surf for Jayna Davis.
I already know this story but I really would like to get this book.
bump for the truth
Thanks. : ) I'll try to stretch my budget for it.
I just met someone who claims to be one of the 1st 3 persons to enter the carnage after the explosion(s). He claimed to be with the county 'FEMA' and didn't think much of the 'myth' floating around about Middle East connections. And he claimed to never hear of Jayna Davis. Hmm...
That should be easy to source, she reportedly worked for a local t.v. station and was well known.
The person you met is either a liar or a fool. Either way, avoid him.
Good-looking too, as you'll see on her site.
I clearly remember Middle East "myths" circulating on radio, beginning about five minutes after the bombing. I called my friend in OK City right away and he believed the ME connection. He's no slouch, a well-known psychologist, very bright guy, Episcopal lay minister, who also happens to have a strong gift of intuition. Well, of course, that's not proof of anything. But Jayna Davis has certainly dug up enough concrete evidence to constitute proof. I'll read her book.
Did he smoke Marlboro's?
Jayna Davis Biography
In 1986, Jayna Davis graduated at the top of her class from the University of Texas at Austin with a BA in Broadcast Journalism. During her 12-year career as a television reporter, Jayna worked as a videotape editor, producer, news anchor, general assignments and investigative reporter. She entered the broadcast industry at KXII-TV in Sherman, Texas, then moved eastward to KLTV in Tyler, where she was recognized statewide for her achievements in general assignments and medical reporting.
In 1991, Jayna reached a top 20 broadcast market when she joined the news team at KCRA-TV in Sacramento, California, the third largest NBC affiliate in the country. In 1993, Jayna found her niche in Oklahoma City when KFOR-TV hired her as an investigative reporter. During her four years at KFOR, Jayna received several awards for investigative journalism.
Shortly after 9:02 AM on April 19, 1995, Jayna found herself staring at the smoldering shell of the Alfred P. Murrah Building with a photographer by her side recording the unspeakable bloodshed and carnage. The horrifying images were broadcast via satellite to the world, documenting what was deemed America's deadliest terrorist attack of the 20th century.
Within twenty-four hours, Channel 4s news director tapped Jayna to cover the FBIs international manhunt for the perpetrators and the infamous John Doe 2. On June 7, 1995, KFOR-TV broadcast its first story in which the disgruntled Gulf War veteran, Timothy McVeigh, was identified drinking beer with a former Iraqi soldier in an Oklahoma City tavern. During the past nine years, Jayna has compiled a comprehensive and compelling investigative dossier, which unveils the Middle East's hand in the Oklahoma bombing. The evidence raises the disturbing question: did 4-19 sound the alarm that went unheeded?
Jayna is arguably the only journalist in the country who has dedicated years of intense research into the Middle Eastern connection to the 1995 terrorist strike on the Murrah Building. In 2001, she founded a non-profit corporation, Journalists' Committee for Justice, Inc, which has carried on the mission to seek justice for those who perished in America's heartland. On April 15, 2004, WND Books/Thomas Nelson Publishers released her explosive new book, The Third Terrorist: The Middle East Connection to the Oklahoma City Bombing.
I listened to the entire interview on Coast to Coast(if you buy the service you can replay any show for 3 months), she was impressive, covered her bases and was almost "overly-concerned" about sourcing everything she said.
By the way, Unfit for Duty is #1 on Amazon, and it hasn't even been released yet.
I hope everyone buys and reads her book. It is interesting, well researched and documented. I found it riveting and it convinced me that there is more to the OKC bombing than will ever be told. Mrs PD
Whoops. It's "Unfit for Command". Sorry, all these cliches sound alike.
#2 is the 9/11 report, number 3 General Franks book.
