But truth be told .. Keyes is going against what he said in 2000

Cheney said he wasn't in contention for the VEEP spot while he worked for Bush to find a him a running mate. There's nothing wrong with making a false prediction about one's future political office. It happens honestly all the time.

I'm not sure what that has to do with Keyes moving to another State to run for the Senate

Bush is the one that wanted Cheney

That's true ... but I recall many of us being slammed up against the wall for not being "true" conservatives .. principled and all that

Like I said .. having Keyes go after the Dems on the Senate Floor would be a hoot

But he is going against what he said in 2000

Look, Keyes said what he said; leave Cheney out of this. He didn't consider himself in contention; after Cheney's search, Bush decided HE wanted him. It's not the same.
