"Put that M-79 down NOW, Johnny! You could put someone's eye out!"
Response to Senator John McCain
Swift Boat Veterans for Truth has more than 250 members, many of whom were wounded or highly decorated in Vietnam.
We purchased with our blood and service the right to be heard, to set the record straight about our unit, and to tell the truth about John Kerry's military service record.
We respect Senator McCain's right to express his opinion and we hope he extends to us the same respect and courtesy, particularly since we served with John Kerry, we knew him well and Senator McCain did not.

"but what's up with this story?"
Simple...someone got to Elliott...
If the VC was running away from Ketchup and Ketchup shot him then he obviously "shot him in the back"...
None of this is as important as the fact that Ketchup lied before the Senate committe and on television about "mass atrocities"! He betrayed fellow Viet Nam veterans and their families. And that's the bottom line!
Now we can argue all day about the medals which have a fishy odor to them especially the Purple Hearts but Kerry is a lying traitor and all the "spin" in the world won't change that!

Semper Fi,

I hope you're right.
"I served with these guys. I went on missions with them, and these men served honorably. Up and down the chain of command there was no acquiescence to atrocities. It was not condoned, it did not happen, and it was not reported to me verbally or in writing by any of these men including Lt.(jg) Kerry.
In 1971, '72, for almost 18 months, he stood before the television audiences and claimed that the 500,000 men and women in Vietnam, and in combat, were all villains -- there were no heroes. In 2004, one hero from the Vietnam War has appeared, running for President of the United States and Commander-in-Chief. It just galls one to think about it."

The reasons the Demos and their lib lawyers are playing Clintonian Hardball is that they know we are on to something, and they are quite frankly shittting in their pants about it. This is a dead on sign that we have smoked them out.

Meek, please show grobdriver your bandaid graphic arts.
The wound was covered with a band-aid
LOL!!!
Great poster material to Freep Kerry!
A big picture of a band-aid (Disney characters, of course) and the words:
"This is for Kerry's Purple Heart wound!"
Which Swift Boat vet retracted from the ad? I don't recall that happening. Source, please?
So now the Dems are pissed off and want to keep the TV and radio folks from selling ad time. Hmmmmmm. Don't recall the Repubs trying to stop Mickey Moore's movie ads... don't recall the Repubs trying to sue the sKerry campaign for slander regarding the presidents honorable service in the Guard. Hmmmmmm... And now, ONLY these swift boat vets working with sKerry are ones to be believed, and the guys against him are gutter rats? Hmmmmm... this is going to be one hell of firestorm for sure. Sen McCain has lost all of my respect. These new swift boat vets for truth have EVERY RIGHT TO BE HEARD!!!
Time is the only test of Honest men, John Kerry your time is running out.
Yeah, Meek, show me!
:)
Having said all that though, he would prefer that we just stop talking about Vietnam. The war was 30 years ago and it's time to just drop it. What he's interested in is who's the most capable to fight the war we are in now and that's, unquestionably George W. Bush.
I tend to agree with him. I'm so sick of hearing about VIETNAM. And I'm so sick of the stupid baby boomers - and I'm one of them; although at the very tail end (1960 DoB). It's like no one has gotten beyond it and that what happened in the 60s and the 70s was the greatest thing in the world. Personally, I think the Baby Boomers are so the most self-absorbed generation and I'm sick to death of them.
And finally, I think it's pretty sickening on Kerry's part to continually bring his Vietnam service to focus. Sheesh...Bob Dole didn't do this with WWII, neither did George HW Bush. Kerry's the epitome of that generation - ME, ME, ME. I'm wonderful; don't you admire me? Pfffttttt...
/rant
how about Sandy Berger?
At least I know the President's campaign isn't falling for this.

My reply to Senatr McCain: STFU or YOUR record will be exposed by some POW!! (actually that's what he is afarid of...that this exposure of Kerry's record hits a little too close to home)
