Singer Mindy McCready charged with drug fraud

FRANKLIN, Tenn. Country singer Mindy Mc-Cready was arrested today and charged with prescription drug fraud.
Authorities said she used a fake prescription to obtain the pain medicine OxyContin.
Investigators said the 28-year-old Mc-Cready presented a fraudulent prescription at a pharmacy last February, paid for the drugs and then left.
Officers said they later learned that Mc-Cready was not a patient at the doctor's office from which the prescription purportedly originated.
Mc-Cready was released on ten-thousand dollars bond.
The singer had a Number One hit in 1996 with "Guys Do It All the Time."

If you don't remember Mindy McCready, don't worry that you're getting Alzheimer's. She's probably country music's most glaring one hit wonder, and one of the trashiest women ever signed to a record deal. After publicly criticizing the label boss who signed her, and denigrating his masculinity, she was soon dropped from her label and has been trying to relive past glory ever since. No wonder she's doping.

I've never seen a picture of her before, or remember her songs, but I think she's kind of cute in a Tonya Harding trailer trash kind of way. You know the type, lots of ex-boyfriends willing to beat each other up if she asks them to defend her honor.

"Guys do it all the time" is probably the only song that most country fans remember her for now but "10,000 Angels" was her debut single and did pretty well too.
