Two officials at an Albany, N.Y., mosque have been arrested in a sting operation for trying to help purchase a shoulder-fired missile to assassinate a top Pakistani diplomat in New York, authorities said yesterday.
Yassin Aref, 34, imam at the Masjid As-Salam mosque, and Mohammed Hossain, 49, a mosque founder, were taken into custody Wednesday night by FBI and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.
Arrested after a yearlong undercover investigation, the men are suspected as having ties to a radical Islamic group known as Ansar al-Islam, or "Soldiers of Islam," named in connection with the 2001 assassination of Franso Hariri, a senior official of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, and the attempted killing of Burhan Salih, head of the Iraqi Kurdistan regional government.
U.S. intelligence officials have said members of Ansar al-Islam are believed to be affiliated with Abu Musab Zarqawi, the Islamic militant at the center of attacks on U.S. military forces in Iraq.

Yesterday on THE SAVAGE NATION, I got really frustrated with Michael Savage during his conversation with the guy from the Bronx. Savage has been whiling on Bush, saying that no administration, Democrat or Republican, is really fighting the War Against Islamic Terrorism. After hearing about this awesome sting, I thought Savage would have eased off of Bush... CNN s^@#s, by the way. I was thinking about the 9/11 attack, I have heard it was planned for several years before it was undertaken. It looks like it takes a while to catch these monsters. You have to have the goods on them.

What was the name of the former Democratic nominee? Mr. Heya!? He's been saying that the recent terrorism warnings were given by the Bush administration in order to undermine Kerry's convention. He says that the information about Muslims staking out targets in the east was old information and that it doesn't make sense to have waited to give the warnings when they were given. Doesn't he realize that the ACLU won't allow Muslim suspects to be taken into custody until they've done something? Doesn't he realize that these terrorists have to be caught in the act and that putting out a warning would destroy our chances to observe them? Yes, these Islamic Terrorists can spend years working out a plot to bomb a target! And they also spend time in Mosques in America while they're plotting! Terrorism in America is not preventable due to fear of ACLU lawsuits. THE ENEMY WITHIN! Liberalism! Boy, I cuss!
