One minute, we're complaining about how we wish our side would do the same thing those slimes at MoveOn.org would do. We do that and now some are crying about this possibly backfiring?

Correction: Not the same LYING AND MISREPRESENTATING that the slimes at MoveOn.org do but to organize, set up and run ads like them.

Okay, carry on!

"The advertisement contains statements by men who purport to have served on Senator John Kerry's SWIFT [sic] boat in Vietnam..."

This is very odd because McCain used the same exact misrepresentation of "on". Kerry and McCain are speaking from the same contrived page, he has his assignment.

"I deplore this kind of politics,” McCain said. “I think the ad is dishonest and dishonorable. As it is, none of these individuals served on the boat (Kerry) commanded.

Traitor to his party working for traitor to his country.

I am sick of being told we can't fight back. The Democrats can call Bush all sorts of foul names but we are not allowed to question Kerry on anything. MM and Whoopi Goldberg can call Bush a liar and every name in the book but we can't say a word about Kerry. No wonder Bush can't pull ahead. He's always on the defensive. I say that the Swift Boat Vets should play their message loud and often. It's time we fight back.

YES! Exactly!

Actually the letter (probably written by Kerry himself) got this right. SWIFT is an acronym. --I've forgotten for what exactly.

Evidently John Fn Kerry thinks that SWIFT is an acronym for "So What, I Fought Too."

Bottom line: If what the swifties say is true, then Kerry is toast. IF they are lying, it will hurt Bush.

The "Christmas '68" episode that Hugh Hewitt read today from the Unfit to Serve transcript will crush horseface, if true. Apparently Kerry, on the Senate floor in 1986, re-lived his "illegal incursion into Cambodia" on Christmas of 1968, secretly ordered there by Nixon. Only problem, Nixon wasn't inaugurated until Jan 20, 1969, and Kerry was in his barracks with everyone else that day, 50 miles from the Cambodian border.

Kerry's sympathetic biographer left this whopper out of his book. If this is true, and it can easily be verified, then all of Kerry's self proclaimed "heroics" need to be examined.

Kerry's people will simply say that 'served with' means 'on his boat.'

In another thread, it was said that these boats had 6-man crews. They had more people than that lined up at the Democrat convention. Therefore 'served with' by necessity means more than 'on his boat,' in their own usage of their rhetoric.

There are nine year olds in East LA that have been shot at more times than Kerry ever was during his four months in Vietnam. That doesn't mean they're qualified to be President.

Sad, but true.

I can't believe some of the defeatist WHINING I'm hearing about this ad! One minute, we're complaining about how we wish our side would do the same thing those slimes at MoveOn.org would do. We do that and now some are crying about this possibly backfiring?

Bingo.

This "oh, deary deary dear" fretting and wringing of hands over the possibility that someone, somewhere may actually give us a real mean, hard look is a great way to win elections... for the other guy.

We're fighting a slavishly liberal-compliant mass media, and subhuman propagandists (Michael Moore, etc.) of every stripe and hue. Defeat in '04 means an immediate return to Clinton-era taxes, an extremist Supreme Court for the next quarter-century, and our complete and -- oh, yeah -- unconditional surrender in the War On Terror, as well.

This isn't France, and FReepers don't roll over and offer their bellies to the enemy. We only have twelve weeks left in which to save this country -- IS IT WORTH IT, OR ISN'T IT -- ?

The saddest part of this is that if Kerry was a Republican the left wing press would have been all over the claims Kerry has made about his service record (and that would be perfectly OK). But since the presstitutes no longer report news but support leftist causes, it takes a paid ad to get this information out to the American people. And now Kerry is trying to suppress even the ad. THAT would be treated as as fascist tactic by the press if a Republican would have done it.

I'm not convinced this will do more harm to Kerry than to Bush. But the underlying problem is the dereliction of duty of the leftist press. They're scum.

I hope the story of that ad gets over quick and the ad doesn't run. This will backfire. Why would you keep reminding people of "Kerry's Strength". Use his record to attack him. These idiots are going to get Kerry elected. Take this money and mention his vote against body armour for our troops. This will be more effective.

Also when they mention Vietnam in should mention "we honor his 4 months of service in Vietnam." Remind people subtley it was only 4 months.

IF the swifties are telling the truth, then it needs to be said. Let the chips fall where they may.

SKERRY'S A GREAT MANIPULATER OF SYSTEMS AND SOME types of individuals.

BILLDO is a great manipulator of the SHEEPLE masses. SKERRY IS NOT.

He does have some good mass manipulators on his side, though.

Kerry is just a front for the powers that be. Now, why he is a front is anybody's guess?
