U.S. Senator Kit Bond (R-MO) today issued the following statement:
John Kerry says he wants Americans to judge him by his record, but doesnt say that his record is one of hostility to the whole concept of intelligence. John Kerrys record includes missing 38 out of 49 public Senate Intelligence Committee hearings and supporting billions of dollars in cuts to the intelligence budget. When the Clinton Administration was cutting intelligence funding, Kerry even proposed a further $1 billion cut to intelligence and seventy-five Senators, including his more conservative colleague Ted Kennedy, voted against him.
You mean the one where Bush had a fairly comfortable lead only to win in a nail-biter that drug out over a month? Let's hope the planning is a little better. Kerry may be a marginally weaker candidate than Gore (both are pretty bad), but the level of Bush-hatred out there balances that out. If Gore had been a little better in the debates we would have President Gore and would be speaking Arabic.
Kerry actually has been pretty consistant in his liberal voting, the problem is his rhetoric does not match his votes. Kerry claims to be against gay marriage, but has an unblemished pro-gay marriage voting record.
I think Ashcroft has goten a hold on a lot of the vote fraud but Kerry has hired 3,000 lawyers for "voter disenfranchisement" in other words making sure votes are counted that should not be counted.
Now THERE'S a phrase you don't hear everyday!
Senator Bond can be droll...
Did hanoi john vote for the defense bill Dubya signed into law this morning?
I'm hoping for an October Surprise he he he
Thanks for the reply.
It's looking more and more like the President's team is running a careful, layered, sequenced playbook that will deliver a decisive, lawyer-proof win in November.
(steely)
I believe he and the Breck Girl were AWOL.
Best laugh of the day for me. Thanks.
Scary/Backwards 2004. Help is on the way (if you are a terrorist)! Help is on the way "if you are in need of welfare" Kerry's absent from Senate votes is about as good as Dickie Gebhardt's record. The votes they do make are the most telling of the record. Socialist to the core!
