One plaintiff said Graham told her that if an abortion were "performed too early, it could be harmful to her health," according to the lawsuit.
He was certainly pushing the line.

Then every network news program, newspaper and magazine in the nation is pushing it as well. When was the last time any of them went a week without using the phrase "could be harmful to your health"?

With all due respect, Tonto, I see no where in the article where it's been proven that this man lied about anything.

OK, then as a general rule, without regard to the facts in this particular case, we shouldn't lie to people.

And let's not be like the left, and try to split hairs between "lie" and "mislead."

A man accused of running a sham abortion clinic and tricking women in order to keep them from getting abortions was ordered Wednesday to disconnect his phone and stop giving advice.

Giving advise is not the same thing as lying. The only person I hear using the term lying is 'Suzanne Novak, attorney for Center for Reproductive Rights'.

....and making misleading statements aimed at delaying women until it was too late for them to get legal abortions.

I notice there is only one example of what they are construing as a misleading statement. I suppose if he counseled women that RU-486 was loaded with vitamins and minerals, he wouldn't have this problem.

Suzanne Novak, attorney for Center for Reproductive Rights, which filed the lawsuit, said the judge's ruling would set a precedent for similar situations in which abortion opponents mislead women.

Knowing the language of the left, I'm sure 'misleading women' will encompass any statement that runs counter to their agenda.

One plaintiff said Graham told her that if an abortion were "performed too early, it could be harmful to her health," according to the lawsuit.

So sayeth she.

What kind of credentials are required for counseling?

When you have to lie and mislead, the cause can't be that righteous.
Is that what you would say to Schindler, or the family who hid Anne Franke? Would you tell that to the station masters on the underground railroad? Liberals are free to criticize this man from any angle, but pro-lifers who criticize him need to remember that there are two objectives to pro-life activities. One is to politicaly end legalized infanticide in America. This man did nothing to help change the abortion laws of Louisiana. But the 2nd goal (and the point of it all really) is to stop a child (or 30 million) from being murdered. He may very well have saved a human life.

Even Muslim terrorists?

Well, I would certainly say that Muslim terrorists are extermists.

I agree with everything that you say. I hate abortion, but our side shouldn't be lying. And giving his persepctive is an abortion service. But you said it much better.

Among other accusations, the lawsuit brought by an abortion rights organization alleges trademark infringement because Graham lists his phone number directly below the listing for the similarly named Causeway Medical Clinic, which has provided abortion services since 1978.

Looking at phonebook...........Valley Forge Children's Academy, followed by Valley Forge Kinder House Montessori School, followed by Valley Forge Presbyterian Nursery School.

I suspect 'Causeway' is the name for a certain district; Causeway Medical Clinic is to Causeway Center to Women as Valley Forge Children's Academy is to Valley Forge Presbyterian Nursery School.

...and this is construed as 'trademark infringement. I smell a rat.

I suspect Mr. Graham has been hurting business, and this an attempt to sue him out of their way.

The Lake Pontchartrain Causeway is the longest over-water bridge in the world at 23.87 miles.

...that's an interesting factoid.....I would think it to be very well known to the locals, I would even submit that they refer to that area as 'The Causeway'. I would even submit that many businesses are named after it, for obvious reasons.

Causeway Medical Clinic, Causeway Center for Women....

Among other accusations, the lawsuit brought by an abortion rights organization alleges trademark infringement because Graham lists his phone number directly below the listing for the similarly named Causeway Medical Clinic

...similarly named? This article is so slanted I'm getting a crick in my neck trying to read it.

Could Causeway be the group that was run by that woman who gave Arlen Specter a run for his money several elections ago? I forget her name (Lynn?) and the organization's name, but I think it was out that way.

Did the Underground Railroaders lie to slaves? Did the families that hid Jews lie to them, "for their own good?"

Until then, your comparisons are specious. Until then, he's still a lying scumbag and a terrible reflecion on conservatives.

If you don't like the laws, work to change them. Don't lie to and mislead people in an attempt to get around the laws.

Or do we only care about the "rule of law" when it comes to Democrats?

Actually, that's true. Any abortion at all could be harmful to a woman's health. But most abortionists won't tell you that...

I was merely making a comparison.......many businesses around here include Valley Forge in the name; just as I am sure that many businesses are named after the Causeway. It would seem that this is the only 'similarity'; Mr. Graham's establishment shared the word Causeway.....and that's where the similarity ends. They level a nebulous charge of 'trademark infringement.'

You just sank your own boat with your analogies, pal. The fact of the matter is, the Underground Railroaders routinely lied to those chasing fugitive slaves and broke laws intended to help in the capture of runaways.

Likewise, those who hid Jews routinely lied in order to protect them from the Nazis and their sympathizers.

In this case, the victim is the innocent baby, and the persecutor is the mother who has been duped or convinced that killing her child is the best solution to her perceived problems.

Thanks for your help!
