Shoulder fired missiles? They were going to try and pull a Mombasa here in the US. Whats more is that they were using the mosque as cover. Its time to treat all mosques as enemy outlets..

I like it when they have their prayer meetings outside. It's so much easier to photograph them.

It sounds to me that the TIMING is suspicious. This was done for purely political reasons. Why would anyone arrest middle easterners for something like this. WHY NOW????

But, but, Muslims are peaceful and Islam is a religion of peace!
At least that's what many bozos around here (and all lefties and media types) believe...

Federal agents and city police picked up the men during an overnight raid on a mosque,...It has long been time for 24/7/52 surveillance of every mosque in the USA. We need to start organizing local militias to share the duty and equipment; not everyone has a video camera, the primary weapon.
I'll take midnight - 4 AM Monday...

1) We all know only the most listless of people live in Upstate New York, so no one with such a gaudy ambition could possibly be hatching such schemes there.
2) Second of all, this is ALBANY we're talking about, a town with a GOP Senate and a Republican Governor with national ambitions. Clearly there's an "agenda" at work here.
3) No doubt as the late-August NYC GOP convention approaches, we'll see more and more of these law enforcement/terror photo ops conveniently staged increasingly close to the NYC media market -- perhaps Kingston, then Yonkers, THEN the Big Apple itself.
4) Finally, driving the pious literally into the street to pray sends a chilling message to people of all faiths about Ashcroft's jackbooted agenda.

I'm beginning to feel like these terrorist arrests are like a giant game of Whack-A-Mole. For every one we arrest, several more pop up.

The men allegedly sought help from a confidential informant and were attempting to launder money to purchase shoulder-launching missiles.

As someone who lives and works in the Albany area, I'm not the least bit surprised that some of the "bad guys" have been nabbed here. We're the transportation crossroads of the state - easy access to NYC, Boston, Canada and western cities like Buffalo. We also have a newly expanded and remodeled "international" airport and some of the largest shopping malls in the northeast.
I think some of the locals here think terrorists only live in the big cities. They are wrong. The bad guys have infiltrated a lot more areas than most people realize. We need to wake up to the fact that we are a nation at war, and one of the battlefields is right here at home.
Kudos to the FBI and state and local law enforcement for bringing these SOB's to justice.

And here's a story right back at you. You'll have to do a search for "Albany" to see the other posts about it. There hasn't been enough bumping yet.
