It's official! Yahoo!
What is the difference/relationship between ideology and principles?
They are American citizens, free to express themselves every bit as you are. Free to form their own opinions, and to try to elevate their political ideology via the systems set forth in our Constitution.
When you demean them to the level that you do, you violate the principles that this country was founded on.
I don't agree with them, and I will work in great earnest to defeat them at the voting booth, but I will lay down my life defending their right to have a say in our government.
And IF Alan deigns to accept the crown,he'll get the nominal nod from President Bush.
Are you THAT unaware of how politics works?
Political ideology.
Has he run against a black before, or a pro-abortion, very liberal black?
Since Obama has a lock on the race, he will seek out debates with Keyes one, two, three, many times. He will seek it to make him a national figure, sort of like the Lincoln Douglas debates. He has nothing to lose, and much to gain. As I said, my money is that Keyes does not run.
You're just repeating yourself without answering the question: WHY is is wrong? Are you really that offended at me calling leftists evil??? You have a real problem with that word, so you probably didn't like terms like "axis of evil", "evil empire", etc.
No, he has run against white liberals, and Bush, and got almost no black voters.
When did either Reagan or Bush use the word "evil" to describe American citizens?
As a matter of fact, when did they use the term to describe anything other than a system of government, or a political ideology?
Don't flatter yourself here, neither Ronnie or Bush would stoop to the level that you're stooping to here.
Keyes' qualifications to be senator from Illinois;
Beliefs -- conservative -- good.
Personality -- self-centered crybaby -- bad.
Residency -- carpetbagger -- so what!!
I understand your point, but the next question is why is the race considered unwinnable? It would be winnnable by a highly qualifed candidate such as Peter Fizgerald. So why are there no highly qualified Pubbie candidates in this race? It all starts there. If you have a strong enough candidate then the GOP will provide the cash to fund your campaign. I'm going all the way back to the most fundamental reasons why we don't have a strong candidate in this race and never did. You're thinking more tactically about the current situation of trying to find someone to run right now against Obama.
ONE OF THE BEST BLACK CONSERVATIVES EVER
One of the best conservatives PERIOD!>>
One of the very few conservatives, I wish more republicans would be like him.
And the black voters did vote for the white liberals or Bush when they ran against Keyes?
It doesn't look that way. Obama is very strong. Is Obama a natural born American citizen? He will take the nomination away from Hillary.
Think about Supreme Court nominations and funding for the war on terror; bickering does nothing more than provide obvious advantage to the left.
1.No one watches MSNBC.
2. A cable TV show was obviously not his element. Debates and speeches are, big-time!
Oh no! Huber called us "Girlie-men"!!!! We demand you post an apology on every active FR thread for penance. MAYBE we will forgive you.
Hey, it felt good! I'll tell ya what, I'll buy ya some flowers or something. You like petunias? /lol
On the flip side, I lauged my butt off when Kerry asked for Swiss cheese on his Philly Cheesesteak from Pat's King of Steaks. As it is, I can't get down here what I used to get up there on my cheesesteak: Cheese Whiz! :)
I guess it just depends on the attachment that we have to particular elements of our respective cultures. Hot dogs? For me, as few as possible, except when the ambiance demands it. :)
