Yes but isn't it worth it to hear the media complain about people moving from out of state to run for office.

Hillary.....white courtesy phone

I almost expected someone during the convention to say, "Obama...he just talks so well."

Well now... Keyes has a shot to show whether he is for real, or just a Jesse Jackson for the right wing. I hope he succeeds.

Alan Keyes in 2000:

I deeply resent the destruction of federalism represented by Hillary Clinton's willingness go into a state she doesn't even live in and pretend to represent people there, so I certainly wouldn't imitate it.

Principled conservative, huh?

If he couldn't avoid getting crushed in his own state, how in the world is he going to avoid an even worse beating in Illinois?

About as much as the Bears winning the Superbowl and the Cubs winning the World Series this year.

But it will be a great race to watch.

I can't wait for the debates!

I'm a Georgian so I don't get a vote.

If I did I would call up the local Keyes office and volunteer to do all I could to get him elected.

That doesn't change the fact that I don't like carpetbaggers. Seems a bit slimy. I didn't like it when Hillary did it, I don't like it when Keyes does it. Heck, I still have a problem with free agency in baseball.

Maybe NY can trade Hillary to IL for a politician to be named later. NY can elect Guiliani to the Senate. Then all will be right in the world.

...Keyes will run rings around Obama in debates.

I would not underestimate Obama's debating skills, but it WILL be an interesting debate/s.

He'll get his ass kicked, like in Maryland, but Keyes will run rings around Obama in debates.

One of the reasons why he lost here in Maryland was because it was exposed that he took something like a $96,000 annual salary from his campaign contributions. Will he do the same in Illinois? Or has he learned his lesson?

If I make a contribution to a candidate, I don't expect him to take the money to pay his electric bill.

Give him the courtesy of explaining why he decided to do it. My guess is that it had something to do with, I don't know, handing over the Senate to liberal without so much as a squeak.
