It's official! Yahoo!
Be very careful about putting words in my mouth.
and just like Bush-hater, irrational hatred drives you to stay up all night attacking the object of your contempt.
Unlike you, who only did it because you had to, being a state politico and all that?
The only thing I've attacked on this thread is the sheer nerve of those of you who would have us all put aside our opinions and ignore the fact that now that Alan Keyes has a shot at a big job, he's willing to completely ignore what he said about Hillary Clinton in 2000.
I put his quote in context which is not something you or anyone else did.
Which is the main gripe that most of us have had with Keyes; he just doesn't seem to be able to get his point across to us without one of you coming on and telling us what we really should have heard.
For some reason, it gives you in particular some kind of joy to always define those who disagree with Keyes and his tactics as haters; telling, IMO.
I smell a rat lawsuit challenging the validity of Keyes running in Ill-noise. They will lose it, but they will try just the same. IMHO
I share your enthusiasm, however I doubt that Obama is crying. The fact is, Keyes has not yet accepted the offer to run in Illinois, and even if he does he has a VERY big disadvantage and it will take a minor miracle for him to win. So, please pray.
But isn't it the Illinois GOP that is asking him to run?
Yes, so they can say they "tried", but "conservative candidates can't win", thus giving them an excuse for nominating more candidates like Barthwell.
"I'm kind of glad people like you don't like me; it reaffirms my feeling that I'm doing something right.
And I've been here longer than you have."
I now see that your mathematical abilities are equal to your grammatical abilities. I have now learned from you that July 1, 1999 is earlier than December 5, 1998. Thank you for pointing that out to me. Maybe remedial math would help. It's been a barrel of laughs. Sleep tight (that's assuming you ever get off this thread and go to sleep) and don't let the Keyesbugs bite.
I never said that I didn't want Keyes to rum I said he has absolutely NO chance of winning;not even a chance to come close.
It means EGHH HEMMMMMM.
You know damn well I wasn't referring to liberals; I am talking about the day in and day out trashing George W. Bush takes on this site from the "real conservatives" and the "true conservatives" around here.
The law is clear on this. There is no impediment to his running, legally.
Goodnight Freeper friends. Thanks for your support of Dr Keyes, and your sunny American optimism. Please don't sink to the level of your opponents on this thread. All the best, By
Keyes connects with informed political junkies, with the evangelicals, and the intellectually sophisticated voter, but that's not a majority of voters, not enough for a victory. It's only partly Keyes fault; after all it's "we the people" that decide who gets elected.
"But it will be a good race even if Keyes loses because yada, yada, yada..."
Yeah...it will be fun to watch, and I honestly hope that he wins so I'll keep track of it, and at whatever level I can, I'll support him over Obama.
By the way, did you notice that he's already become a single name celebrity?
Elvis, Charo, Madonna, Elmo, Obama...
I'll watch it every night on every network, national prime time coverage. The native son beating the outsider; an outsider brought in from the outside by the GOP to run the lives of the good citizens of Illinois.
And the camera loves this guy.
The DNC will use this race to elevate Obama into a run at the White House as Hillary's VP.
I would have almost rather that the GOP had thrown a local businessman in the race to make it less news worthy.
It's politics, so if you can't avoid losing, you must avoid news coverage.
Keyes was born in Ill-noise?
"And dear thread Nanny,THAT was a petty, petulant, and childish post, you just made. Please hand in your nonexistent thread Nanny credentials."
Well, at least you said "dear". That's a start.
I'm trying to compare a "Bush Country" county map to a county map of Illinois (The bush Country map doesn't blow up real clearly).
If I'm reading this right...
>the Chicago area went Gore - all lakefront counties;
>Seven counties in Northwest Illinois stretching from Carroll county down to Peoria went Gore;
>A Cluster of counties near East St. Louis went Gore (more heavily black? I know down here in the South the closer to the river a county is the more likely it has a high black population)
>Champaign county (college town, right?)
>Lasalle county and a couple of others (don't know the stories on these)
I could be reading it wrong - a better researcher than me can probably find a rundown on it.
Long story short, there ARE apparently Democrat pockets of note outside of Chicago.
Memo to you: if you question Keyes, you're a cheerleader for Obama.
it's just like wearing "kneepads for Bush." Remember that one?
Never claimed I was one,Jim. :-)
I am glad of that because I relish the Idea of him debating the Dumbs new "rising star".
Argh, Argh :o)
BTW, why was the bicycle leaning against the kick-stand? Because it was two tired. Get it? TOO tired, TWO tired. Yawn :o)
Yep,you're doing a swell job for Obama.
Bravo!
