Whew, strong stuff, that. My neighbor who served two tours in the PBRs (same command as Swift Boats) tells me that he would not even have applied for Purple Hearts based on his understanding of Kerry's war wounds.

1. Kerry cheapened the Purple Heart for many
2. Swiftboat guys say they dreaded getting PH's
3. Kerry submitted his own PH's and medals
4. Kerry had no "Wounds"

These Swiftboat guys ought to make it a point to announce just how many PH's they got by completing a 12 month tour, especially the guys on sKerry's boat.

That's something I can't understand. Did Kerry put himself in for his Purple Hearts? I was wounded in RVN and my CO put me in for the Purple Heart. I don't think I've ever heard of anyone putting themselves in for one.
