I believe 527s are not permitted to advertise after 9-2-4 (60 day limit), per McCain-Feingold [spit]. Not true. Only those which take union or corporate contributions cannot.

I welcome your correction, I was working from (sketchy) memory.

According to an FEC spokesman, no ads financed with corporate or union money can run within 30 days of a primary featuring congressional or presidential candidates, or 60 days of a general election. In Missouri, that means that TV or radio ads financed only with money from individuals can be aired from July 3 through the Aug. 3 primary, and then Sept. 2 through the Nov. 2 general election.
This is the George Soros billionaire millionaire loophole. Democrats have quite a few individuals who have contributed $5 million+ to 537 outfits such as Moveon.Org

Really?! I thought it was an absolute ban. If that's the case, now the usefulness of the 527's comes into play. Donation (and book purchase coming up)!
