Matthews: Seeing Son Campaign for Dean “One of Happiest Moments”

Like father, like son? MSNBC’s Chris Matthews boasted Wednesday night to Howard Dean how “one of my happiest moments of the campaign was watching my son Michael, who goes to Brown, out campaigning for you.”

The MRC’s Geoff Dickens caught this bit of information in a question Matthews posed on MSNBC, at about 6:50pm EDT, to Howard Dean: "Personally, as a father, one of my happiest moments of the campaign was watching my son Michael, who goes to Brown, out campaigning for you when we were, when we were covering New Hampshire primary. I went by that movie theater downtown, the Palace or whatever it's called, and there he was out there waving a big sign for you. You got a lot of young people excited about politics. What do you feel about that?"

Howard Dean is the biggest nothing to occur in American politics in quite some time. How does he rate all this 'face-time'?

Chris Matthews - hardheaded, no-nonsense, nonpartisan professional journalist.

What, no barf alert?

You got "MSNBC", "Chris Matthews" ,and "Howard Dean" in the title, and you STILL want a barf alert?

This little story gives me mental indigestion. Howard Dean is one warped individual. If I had a son that said he has two choices; work for Howard Dean or go to San Francisco to headline in a transvestite cabaret. I'd reply "Son I hope you like show business."

It's starting to dawn on the left that the guy they chose out of pragmatism is an unlikeable, boring loser, and now they're remorsefully wishing that they had picked the guy that they really wanted to in the first place.

If my son was out canpaigning for Howard Dean, I would be very troubled and would have a talk with him, try to straighten him out. It obviously is the sign of a disturbed mind.

Now you know why the "Hardball" ratings are so low. MSNBC is a loser! And....so is Chris Matthews!

Not that Matthews is a raving liberal, of course. He of old Tip O'Neill's office, that slimey hack. Besides, we know how fair and balanced everything is over at MSNBC. To be thrilled that your son is supporting Dean the lunatic/borderline traitor shows a definite lack of brains. Translated this means: my son will never have to work a day in his life. He's on the gravy train now, one political hack job after another.
