I haven't heard any audio on this, but I just have to think that sprinkling local place names into a traveling stump speech would come across as fake and contrived-- especially when done in Kerry's excruciatingly dull monotone voice.

a serious BBQ joint in a rough part of time I found the 14th century to be rather trying.

Instead, he ate at the ritzy Pieces of Eight on the lakefront, dining on filet mignon with potatoes and asparagus.Could he be anymore dense? He obviously believes in "Do as I say, not as I do."
I hope he keeps this up.

Check out my Fine Dining guide to the Kerry campaigne. We want to make sure that Senator Kerry can find a decent meal after pretending to eat the local grub...

Funny. Kerry thinks the media will cover his Purple Heart butt but they forget about the NEW MEDIA - internet, radio etc.
I wonder if he told the WI crowd how great a fan he is of Buckeye football?

The more Kerry tries to act like one of the guys, the more he fakes knowledge of and interest in local eateries and sports teams, the more people are thinking, "Uh, huh. Rich guy married to rich wife."

I was going to say the "Dark Ages".

Maybe he decided instead, to pick up some duck l'orange and shaved summer truffles at the local diner.

I wonder how much those joints he mentioned contributed to his campaign, one way or the other. And having hundreds of hungry people waiting to see him, waiting, waiting, looking in the window at the food, getting hungrier - I bet the owners aren't displeased at all. But heaven forbid his majesty himself would eat the stuff!
To: Republican Red
He told the Milwaukee crowd that when growing up he was a fan of the Milwaukee Braves and his favorite player was Rocky Colavito. (sarcasm)
To: Nachum
Kerry's dining goofs on his tour (may they continue) remind me of the ritzy haircut Bill Clinton got on an airport tarmac (holding up civilian air traffic). This plays poorly out in fly-over country.

That would be the Wisconsin Golden Gophers. *wink*

We should take up a collection to keep on sending his campaign big cases of Grey Poupon.

I wonder if he told the WI crowd how great a fan he is of Buckeye football I think at this point he's morphed into a Wolverine fan.
Which, of course, should endear him to Badgers everywhere.

What a dope! I think WI is the Gore state from 2000 that is most likely to go for Bush-Cheney this time. They would have won it last time were it not for the Dems stealing votes, and of course that dirty trick with the DUI incident. Had it not been for that GWB would almost certainly have taken WI, IA, OR, and NM and the electoral vote (301-237) wouldn't have even been close. This whole "stole the election" nonsense would never have been an issue.

But, he didn't get there. The manager at Speed Queen, a serious BBQ joint in a rough part of time, first pointed out that they serve spare-ribs, not babybacks. But that he never showed up. Crowds gathered at Leon's frozen custard stand in anticipation of his visit. (President Clinton did, but was a few cents short in paying the bill.) But Kerry never showed. Instead, he ate at the ritzy Pieces of Eight on the lakefront, dining on filet mignon with potatoes and asparagus.LOL. Like the Burger king episode. They're so average American, T'reeeeesa threw out the chili they bought and the couple ordered a 7 course meal delivered to their bus from a local yacht club.
Kerry is such a dork! He just keeps getting more bizarre by the day! LOL.
