Did anyone else just catch Bill Klintoon on Letterman's show? Darn, I sure wish I had known he was going to be on the show ahead of time... I would've started this thread much earlier. This thread is a heads-up for FReepers in U.S. time zones other than Eastern - you still have time to catch it.
I'm afraid I can't provide much of a report on what Slick Willie had to say since I only saw part of it (and I'm pretty sleepy). Basically what I heard from him was:
(Under the Bush administration) "Crime and gang violence is up, and so the assault weapons ban should be continued. President Bush and the Republicans don't seem to want to do anything about it"
"I tried several times to get bin Laden"
"We foiled the Milennium plot"
"Sandy Berger is a patriot who just happens to have had a very messy office"
The above quotes are all my paraphrases. LOTS of legacy re-invention stuff. I'd appreciate it if someone could get a transcript of tonight's show (or can transcribe directly from the show).
*GAG* You may want to down a stiff drink or something before watching this...

Why would anyone watch that lying sack of excrement when Leno has Dennis Miller on? He was hilarious in his jabs at the Dems tonight. I never watch Letterman because he is Hellery's buttboy.
Crime is down in Arkansas and the White House since the Clintooons have left. LOL

Actually He was pretty much non-partisan, the assault weapon ban statement was said calmly, he pretty much covered GWB
on the old data and terror warning,etc.
I would imagine left wingers are pissed he was so centrist.
He and Letterman are not backslapping, hugging buddies, seemed to be a little tension between them, polite but not
joke cracking buddies.
Maybe that's why he has such a problem with rich people, he's married them. He know what he's talking about. Keep in mind, he's a penniless beggar without Ms. Shove It. But she's got a life time of Hell with him.
Didn't Letterman end up getting an emergency heart bypass operation the day after he had Mrs. Clinton as a guest?

He said something about how he had always thought that Bin Laden was much more dangerous than Saddam Hussein, and how tough on terror he was. It had me laughing out loud but I don't think he was joking.

I watched Clinton on Letterman, but missed Dennis Miller on Leno. Would rather have seen Miller, at least he's funny on purpose!
