President Bush signed the United States-Australia Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act today in a ceremony in the White House Rose Garden. Later in the day, Bush headed to speak at the 122nd Annual Knights of Columbus in Dallas, Texas. The President praised the group for its continued work with communities. Meanwhile, First Lady Laura Bush, along with daughters Barbara and Jenna, greeted workers in New York City who work in buildings mentioned in the latest terror attacks. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

I have a friend who is very resourceful and found tickets over the 'net through an independent provider. We were lucky! They were pricey...
Later, we found out her mother was invited and could have ordered them at a decent price for us! Live and learn...
It was all worth it! We had a heck of a time finding our hotel afterwards (being caught in a sleet storm in sleeveless balldresses STINKS, however).

I NEVER get tired of oogling that picture!

I was at the Texas Convention hall for the Inaugural, helping with security - and I not only got to see them dance, but they went out MY door. Since there so many, it was hard to decide which one would be chosen but when I started to see the Secret Service dudes gathering around the door, asking if there was anyone who had been there "too long" or loitering, I suppose, I told them, "No, just folks coming and going to the Restrooms." Then he looks at me, and says, "Good job". Made me feel important - just an ol' ticket checker/name badge person.

I need to call my friend and reserve her guest bedroom. If I've moved, I'm coming back for the Inauguration for FOUR MORE YEARS and want to be sure to have a room to stay in!

Before Kerry made his "goons" remark, Teraayyzzaa said it would be "four more years of HELL." Yes, she said that word, in that way.

MIL said, "I wish they wouldn't report things like that." I replied--"Why not? It shows their true character."

She then started talking to the dog.

Teresa would probably tell everyone to run for their lives instead of being a calming presence like Laura. Momma T is a crazy woman!

Here's another bit of news that you will get a kick out of. About three weeks or so ago I read a thread which said that according to some Italian magazine, Pope John Paul 11 prefers the Methodist Bush to the Catholic Kerry! hehehe!

LOL!

I wrote Laura an encouraging letter and told her how my whole family pronounced them "awesome." (they are!) Can't you just see her mixing up cookies in the kitchen (not in the WH, maybe at the ranch?) and George coming in and snitching, teasing her?

God truly was looking out for us!
We were on line to go on the White House tour, and I noticed a plane going over our heads very low. It went out Southwest and then turned, coming back toward us. Just as I was ready to start running, it turned and plunged straight down, now we know, into the Pentagon. We were told to run for our lives, that another one was just minutes out. All I could think about was the safety of the people I loved and GWB and his family.
We now know Flight 93 was taken down by our brave fellow Americans. I'm thankful EVERY DAY!

Oh, that's okay. I used to watch him regularly, but he can be very annoying and... well, there's Free Republic and... you get the picture. I really don't watch much of FOX news in the evening anymore. I'd rather just have news, thanks.

I hadn't heard or read one word about Kerry's goons remark either before Rush's show nor after.

The media is only focusing on what that floozey, filthy rich woman said, and NOT THE CANDIDATE.

Of course, I'm not surprised....

I LOVE it! I wish the Catholic 'big shots' would endorse him. I do wish ALL people in places of power in religion (pastors, ministers, priests, etc.) would bring 'politics' into church just enough to present the beliefs of their religion/denomination vs. the canidates' beliefs. Sadly, many of them don't want to point out that there is "right" and "wrong" in our society.

Some bad, some good!
I'll take them all as learning experiences!
Everything happens for a reason...I just didn't expect them to happen to me!
I'm glad that even though I'm young I can look at things as life-shaping lessons that I can use to solve problems and understand tough situations.
They are gifts!
