President Bush signed the United States-Australia Free Trade Agreement Implementation Act today in a ceremony in the White House Rose Garden. Later in the day, Bush headed to speak at the 122nd Annual Knights of Columbus in Dallas, Texas. The President praised the group for its continued work with communities. Meanwhile, First Lady Laura Bush, along with daughters Barbara and Jenna, greeted workers in New York City who work in buildings mentioned in the latest terror attacks. See? Even THEY know that Terayyyyyyyyyza is a loose cannon.
Before the end of August, I predict, [ahem, cough, clearing of throat heard in the background,] I predict that that woman will be a liability to John sKerry and he won't be asking, "Wasn't she wonderful?" because she won't be on the stage introducing him anymore.
And that's the TRUTH! Phfffffft!
Thanks for posting that picture!
I was there, and you could tell how much they loved and respected each other!
We are so lucky to have such a great example of a loving marriage on display in the White House!
I live withing a hour's drive of Washington, DC.
Just south of Baltimore. And I have yet to meet him. One of my wishes is that I get to meet him esprcially after hearing or reading everyone else's accounts of meeting him.
Oh darn! I'll bet security will be incredible tight, so I can understand restrictions.
"think she's just mystified because she doesn't really know what a "recipe" actually is. (meow)"
That's where the Kerry line "THE help"is on the way....comes from..... The help this time is the cook.
Teresa, a recipe is something like chili, except it doesn't have the hot sauce or the beans or the beef.
HEH!!
Please, please, PLEASE fix the date in the title to be 8/3/04... thanks!
I can understand that.
I love that sign! LOL!
I've seen him a few times, but I would love to live as close to DC as you do!
Ohio isn't too far, but still...
We make it to DC a couple times a year. It's a beautiful city.
The thing I'll say I like best about GWB (in person) is how strong a handshake he has, and he also smells very nice!
PS--Pardon me, but he's awfully handsome, even more so in person!
Now I know I want to meet him! :o)
cute pic ... where was that taken?
I don't know. Dr. Deb wanted them posted so I obliged. I love the sign too!
It's quite an experience!
We're planning (not hoping, PLANNING) on being at Bush's next Inaugural, hope to see ya there!
We'll save you a spot in the front row!
Of course, the second time we tried to see him in DC, we were told to run for our lives, since there was a hijacked plane crash at the Pentagon and another one inbound (and thanks to the brave passengers of Flight 93, it never got there!).
I KNEW someone would oblige me and post that picture! In spite of all the people, all the cameras, in spite of the momentous events of the day . . . it's just the two of them, there, isn't it. THANKS for posting it!
Because she has Class with a capital C. Teresa just has a big mouth!
Meganne Smith, 6, of Butler, observes the activity surrounding President Bush's rally yesterday at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center with her sister, 4-year-old Heidi, and mother, Cindy.
Sounds like a WONDERFUL experience! Thanks for telling us about it. I didn't know you could get tickets for an event like that over the Internet--guess I thought you had to be invited.
