We have one question for Democratic presidential nominee John Kerry: Why is Howard Dean [related, bio] still associated with your campaign?
Dean's comments over the weekend, insinuating that the Bush administration was playing politics with the latest terror threat, should not only be harshly criticized by Kerry, it's reason enough to demand Dean stop campaigning for the Kerry/Edwards ticket.
``How much of this is real and how much of this is politics?'' Dean said on CNN Sunday. ``Every time something happens that's not good for President Bush [related, bio] he plays his trump card, which is terrorism.''
Dean didn't bother to reconcile his vile accusation with the fact that senior intelligence officials have said much of the detail of the planned attacks on financial centers had been gathered in ``the past 36 hours.''
``There may be more to come,'' according to Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge. But officials decided, ``We better get out with what we know now.''
And why would that be? To step on a purported post-convention bounce for Kerry? How blinded by partisan cynicism can Howard Dean be?
The information outlined by federal officials Sunday included these security specifics about the New York Stock Exchange, CitiGroup Center, Prudential Financial, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund: Security camera placement, pedestrian traffic, structural features that might ``prevent the buildings from toppling down,'' and the degree of incline of entrances to underground garages.
The level of detail is chilling to the bone. It would have been a total dereliction of duty for federal officials not to share that information immediately.
Sen. Joe Lieberman said, ``I don't think anybody who is in their right mind would think the president or the secretary of homeland security would raise an alert level and scare people for political purposes. That's outrageous.''
Howard Dean is a fool and worse, he's a dangerous fool. Fortunately, Democratic primary voters saw that. Doesn't the man who touted his own judgment and experience at the Democratic National Convention last week see it, too? We've yet to hear a peep out of John Kerry [related, bio] denouncing Dean's comments. And that, too, is outrageous.
Even the left knows that Kerry is a loser now.
Of course, Howard the Dean also criticized Bush for not reacting to skimpy intel regarding the impending 9/11 attacks. So for Dean, he damns Bush if he does and damns Bush if he doesn't. Which is about the most damning thing you can say about Dean.
"(Leftists rip Kerry!)"
???
Boston Herald is a fairly conservative paper.
Joe Lieberman is fairly conservative for a 'Rat, but its unusual to see him breaking ranks like this the week after the convention.
And Lieberman is no left-winger, at least when it comes to national defense.
"Joe Lieberman is fairly conservative for a 'Rat, but its unusual to see him breaking ranks like this the week after the convention."
I have the feeling that Joe was shown some stuff that would give the rest of us insomnia for awhile.
Howard Dean is just about left this planet and Hillary Clinton is just sucking it all up for her presidential debut!
Even Kerry knows he's going to lose, Terry McAuliffe, the entire Democratic establishment know Kerry is going to lose.
So...Lets trash Bush as much as possible. We'll let any nutcase call him anything they want, and we won't stop it. Heck, we just might do an Alex BAldwin and urge folks to get up a lynch mob for him and his family.
We'll get a batallion of lawyers in every state to snarl the election results, we'll file suit after suit claiming voters were denied their rights. We'll pump to get dead, comatose and brain dead voters to the polls. We'll leave this electoral process in a shambles and before we're done, the whole of America will loathe the name Democrat.
What we have is Dr. Dean wanting the American public to IGNORE terrorism alerts.
He must have a motive for this. Could it be he's an active and conscious agent of AlQaida?
The Boston Herald should be bought by every Republican in New England EVERY DAY between now and the election. ( I don't care if you throw it away as you walk away from the newsstand.)
You will make a clear statement (look at FoxNews), and you will influence the advertisers to put pressure on other papers (Boston Gbol/sic) (NYTimes).
You will also get to read Howie Carr's articles about "Lovey", "LiveShot" and "Do You Know Who I Am?", with a 2-fer as he ridicules "Fat Boy", The senior Senator from Massachusetts.
Even AlQaida has standards....
The dems all deserve each other, all the way from Sharpton, Dean, Moore and assorted insane evil folks like the Kerry's themselves.
That's an freaky pic. of Howlie! :))
Ok, I've asked this before and I'll ask it again...what the heck happened that's not good for President Bush!? I don't get it!
I was a little surprised by Kerry allowing a loose cannon like Dean to help with his campaign. I'm REALLY glad he did, though. It just proves that Kerry's a loose cannon too. Thank God, the grownups are in charge.
Lieberman isn't exactly "the left" these days. The crazies have taken over his party.
Well Lieberman isn't exactly jumping ship either.
Lieberman BUMP...
But I won't belive the whole "Kerry is done" cacophony, until I hear it from the mouths of the FraudCast LameScream Media on the evening of November 2.
(Editorial note: After that announcement, I plan to have the first alcoholic beverage of my life...at age 35 and 9 months)
