Just remember that the media was rooting for Dukakis too. They have just made their choice much more obvious this campaign.

A couple things are different now over 1988:

- Many more people are on the internet now, I was using it in college back in 1988 but it wasn't a significant media source.

- We have talk radio to spread the word to those who are put out with the alphabet networks but who aren't news junkies enough to go online.

- The Democrats have a serious "knock and drag" campaign to bring people to the polls.

This election will all be decided on who brings more people to the polls. The Democrat faithful may not pull a switch for Kerry, some undecideds may stay home altogether, the knock and drag and anybody but Bush crowd WILL get to the polls (and possibly vote multiple times, for real).

We have to motivate the base. If nothing else, just to tune in and see Katie Couric crying on election night AGAIN and Dan Ratherbiased turn somber and get choked up when it comes time to announce the winner.
