1.) Obviously, the author has not listened to a great amount of conservative talk radio hosts who rail against Bush's immigration and spending policies (just to name a few).

2.) Isn't it intellectualy dishonest to paint a group of people with a broad brush? I thought the left was more open minded than that.

1) I have--and haven't heard much about it lately. But my concern is with grassroots conservatives, as I relate in my recent article.

2) I said "many" because I meant "many," not all.

I'm a conservative, and will vote for Bush because everything that is wrong with him is a defining characteristic of Kerry, but you are 100% right on the Federalist papers and the undue adolation of Bush. It's one thing for kids and teenagers to revere the President in such a manner, but grown adults should know better.

I have several liberal friends who hate Bush with a passion but we try to keep that out of our friendships...I love my friends dearly and they would give me a kidney and vice versa if need be political affiliation aside....

It does creep in from time to time however the friendships are important : )

Do you have close conservative friends?

One of my liberal friends is pro choice by not for herself she is pro life when it comes to her own body....it's little inconsistencies like this that bug the hell out of me ....

Or a liberal friend who loves tax cuts but will vote Kerry knowing our taxes are going way up if he is in office come January....

Can you explain some of this small differences....

Howdy Comrad. I just walked in from working a 13 hour day. You see, I am a Capitalist. I was the one out there today making my customers happy and driving the economy forewards. I work my butt off every day and then you Democrats want to attack me for "being rich". I EARN every penny that I make. It takes guts, committment, brains, and taking risks.

I pay more than my fair share of taxes, but the Democrats don't think so. They call me evil and greedy. BULL! I employ 17 hard working people that also are out there every day working to better themselves. If you confiscate more and more of MY money, I do not have the capital to expand my business, hire more people, and make life better for all around me. My job is to make my customers more successful in their businesses which in turn makes me more successful.

The next time you want to have an online debate, try it after the working people get home, not during the day when most of us are out there making America great.
