This plan should be called "The Sanction of the Victim". Since when does the RNC care about what conservatives want?
For whom do you intend to vote if your "conditions" are not met?
Since I doubt that any human will even read these comments, (it's just a gimmick to build the mailing list) I'd wager that "my conditions" will NOT be met.
Here's my new and updated plan for November 2nd.
1. Get up at about 5:00AM
2. Be at the polls by 6:00AM (when they open)
3. Vote against all tax initiatives and referendums that limit individual rights (if any)
4. Vote in a few local races, (where I know more than a little about the candidiate)
5. Head to Cincinnati, and spend the rest of the day at the Riverboat gambling.
That's all I've got so far. I was going to go to the racetrack here in town, but it''l be too cold in November.
In that sense, I would zero in and I would say CLOSE U.S. BORDERS/SECURE THEM. No more pandering for US Business support by allowing cheap labour in the form of illegal aliens in (which is what the GOP wants), whereas the Democrats want them in for different reasons: votes.
I told them we should start an organization that advances free enterprise in other countries, along the lines of the Peace Corps. The democratic nations that emerged in the 20th century were often crippled by socialist economic theory. Time we started repairing that. Let's encourage and nurture economic freedom, not just democracy.
A strange state-of-affairs where we import people to work the lower-wrung jobs that don't require language skills, and export jobs to more literate nations because our schools are so lousy.
ummm...please don't send me anymore letters asking for contributions. I will send more money when I see more Republican Members of Congress...in mass...on the news..in the papers..on TV..defending President Bush against the worse onslaught of lies and propaganda ever unleashed on a President. When I see that..then you will see my money again.
Agreed. Plus, I got really annoyed by the last letter they sent me, which made it sound like I was a slacker - I contribute, I am working on the campaign (although handicapped by the fact that the chairman is a dysfunctional party hack), and I was so infuriated by that letter I almost resolved not to give a dime more.
Phew! Now that I've vented, I can say that you're right. However, one of the biggest problems in this campaign is McCain-Feingold. We can't even give out bumper stickers or yard signs because of the restrictions. McCain Feingold has virtually cut off individual participation.
If you want to do something like give $500 dollars to the party, you can do it - but it may not be used for campaign stuff. If you want to give to the campaign, you have to buy the stuff (yard signs, for example) and have it done in your name, with your full name and address printed at the bottom, and then you can give the yard signs and the campaign can distribute them IF it charges for them.
Needless to say, if you live in a hostile area, you are not going to buy yard signs and have your name and address printed at the bottom for any leftist flake to read and come along and harrass you. So this has significantly hampered the power of the (Republican) party and has intimidated citizens.
One of the things I want the GOP to do is work to overturn McCain Feingold. It's a horrible act and Bush should never have signed it.
No, I started writting resolutions to the Tx party platform at least 2 years ago.
I will be sending all my resolutions up.
INSIST on REPEALING the 16th BEFORE they put in ANY other kind of tax. It is no good without that.
"Bring back Tyburne Tree"? ;') And televise it.

How about "Destroy the IRS ()" instead?
Replace the "lost revenue" with dramatic cuts in the size and scope of government to bring it closer back to a Constitutional level. Get the Federal government out of education, out of health care, out of automotive design, out of the charity business, etc, etc, etc.
