Be careful what you ask for...
I know a lot of MO Reps, and they are more afraid of McCaskill than Holden.

I voted for Holden, and I am scared because it looks like Claire will win. A shame, because while Blunt can beat Claire, he would have slaughtered Holden and safely delivered Missouri for Bush.

Yup, with all of Wyandotte County (KC) but only 1 precinct in Johnson County in (26% of total precincts in), Taff leads Kobach 48%-39%. Surprisingly, Kobach won Wyandotte 46%-42%, which hopefully is a harbinger of things to come later tonight.

Ban on Gay Marriage is passing big.
No gambling boat in the Ozarks.

It did get tight. My guess if tight Kobach wins, this seat is a writeoff.

It looks like Taft has a lead of less than 100 votes with all precincts counted in Johnson and Wyandotte, but the 38 precincts in Douglas, which are U of Kansas precincts, still out (or at least I can't find them). Wow.

Well my math appears to be wrong. Taft is down by 177 votes out of the two counties. It is all up to those 38 precincts in Douglas.

Your numbers are way out of date. Holden appears to have lost it.

Taff ahead barely according to KWCH.com.
A nailbiter.
On another note....conservatives look like they have taken control of the state BOE.

I wonder if there is any historical analysis of how a party does in an election after tossing out their incumbent in a primary?
To: Torie
The rest is coming from Taff areas, right?

I thnk it is highly idiosyncratic. It has not worked out well in California when it happened.

I don't know. Are GOP voters in the liberal town of Lawrence, moderate Pubbies, or testosteroned conservative ideological student types who are going against the grain, and into ideology? And I don't know if the Taft challenger is appealing to college kids. I don't know. I really don't.

I would assume moderate since we are talking Douglas county here...not exactly a conservative friendly area.
