Today is primary election day in Missouri, Kansas and Michigan.
The biggest high-profile race is in Missouri where Gov Bob Holden (D) is trying to fight off a primary challenge from State Auditor Claire McCaskill. The race is supposed to be too close to call. The winner of the Dem primary will face Sec of State Matt Blunt (R) in November. In CD-3, there's a wide-open primary for Dick Gephardt's seat with Russ Carnahan, the son of Mel & Jean Carnahan, the front-runner in the Dem primary.
In Kansas, the big event is the GOP primary in CD-3 between Adam Taff, Kris Koback and Pat Lightner. Taff is seeking a re-match with Rep Dennis Moore. The continuing feud between moderates and Christian conservatives will continue today as precinct committeeman and woman positions as chosen in the GOP primary.
In Michigan, it's relatively quiet except for the CD-7 GOP primary for the seat of retiring Rep Nick Smith. Another classic conservative vs moderate battle is occurring between Brad Smith (son of Nick) and State Senator Joe Schwarz.
Who's gonna win? Why? Opinions anyone?
I'll say that in Missouri Bush wins, the ugliness between One Term Bob and the Mc-catskill Lady has locked up the state for Bush. Beckie Cook and the Jacobs fellow have ripped and torn each other as well. I'm kind of sorry to see this self destruction by the Dems end today.
Missourians - pick up a rat ballot, vote Boob Holden out of office, and vote against deviancy being legalized in the Show Me state ...
It's election dain Kansas? I hope the rift raft don't response, that might stune my beeber!
Taff 38
Kobach 21
Among 274 REGISTERED Republicans July 8-16th. Kobach will be stronger among likely voters and among late-deciding voters who still haven't gone for Taff after three years of seeing him.
Besides that, I'll go with Brad Smith and One-Term Bob.
Okay, so I'm picking the people I want to win :)
5 Conservatives(although one anti-gun), one liberal all fighting it out.
DeRossett and Smith could pull it off, but it'll take a large "Let's beat Schwarz vote" coming from pro-lifers, businesses, and gun owners.
If Boob gets Bounced in the Primary The young Blunt Lad will face the Dragon Lady- I think Blunt can beat Holden, I don't know if Blunt can beat McCaskil, so maybe all the Republicans should get a Donkey Ticket and Vote for One Term Bob.
Blunt can beat McCaskil IMO ...
Stuned beeber title alert!
If only he had deigned to use spell check...
It'll be a cold dain hell when I ping you again. You left me off your ping list. ;O)
It's been a nasty race alright. If Kobach wins then I can see a lot of Taffs supporters going for Moore in November.
That dain was stuned by a beeber.
BEEBER to the SAF list!
SAF is the Smart A$$ed Freeper list, dedicated to levity. Please email me to be on or off.
It won't happen again.
The Spelling Chequer:
Eye halve a spelling chequer
It came with my pea sea
It plainly marques four my revue
Miss steaks eye kin knot sea.
Eye strike a key and type a word
And weight four it two say
Weather eye am wrong oar writ
It shows me strait a weigh.
As soon as a mist ache is maid
It nose bee fore two long
And eye can put the error rite
Its rare lea ever wrong.
Eye have run this poem threw it
I am shore your pleased two no
Its letter perfect awl the weigh
My chequer tolled me sew.
I once rote a turn paper on Dain, Kansas.
It's a lovley toun.
Likewise, if Taff wins, I can see a lot of Koback supporters sitting on their hands...or voting for Moore out of spite.
The bitterness cuts both ways.
I was thinking about doing this when I go to vote at noon. But the everlasting shame of asking for a donkey ballot is just too much.
Can you please revise the title of my post to read "Today is Election Day In Kansas, Missouri and Michigan!"? Thank you.
