STEVEN Spielberg has postponed "Vengeance," his movie about the successful hunt for the Palestinians who attacked the Israeli Olympic team at the 1972 Munich games, killing 11 athletes.

Insiders say the "Schindler's List" director is concerned the movie will inflame Muslim terrorists and turn the set into a target, particularly since one of the 17 Palestinians who perpetrated the Munich massacre is thought to be still at large.

Speilburg takes credit for "producing" Kerry's phony Vietnam era bio for his convention using faked film in order to put an empty suit in Office; an empty suit who believes that terrorism is an overstated threat and who's candidacy has the public support of Israel's enemies, such as Arafat, Hamas and Iran.
Speilburg then cancels his planned movie for fear that it will attract terrorists. Does anyone else see the irony of this situation?
Apparently, Speilburg would prefer to live in a world where he has to censure his own art for fear of violence than one in which Bush was aggressively acting to eliminate this threat and protect his sorry ass.

One of the cable netweorks (HBO, maybe) did a great version of this story years ago called Sword of Gideon. The movie pulled no punches as it described the cold-bloodedness of the Israeli Mossad (sp?) agents who were tasked with killing the terrorists. It also pulled no punches regarding the righteousness of the Israelis and what they were doing. The movie began with the Olympic murders, and made it clear how murderous the palestinians are. I remember a scene where they plan to blow one of the terrorist up with a car bomb, but they keep having to postpone pushing the button on the device because civilians walk by. One of the agents remarks that the Palestinians are under no such restraints. They blow up stuff with no concern for "collateral damage".

Stephen Bauer played the young Israeli soldier recruited to head the team. Colleen Dewhurst played Golda Meier, and she was determined that an Israeli born agent lead the team. Rod Steiger was on hand as the head of Mossad, and Michael York played the team's demolition expert.

It shows up occasionaly on Encore's "True Stories" channel.

Who is going to make the first really good, NON-PC 9/11 movie?

Surprisingly it was made by Showtime. "DC 9/11- Time of Crisis" was excellent. Did a great job of showing the events and the response by the administration. Of course it got panned by the critics because it made Bush and his guys look good. And I just found out it's out on DVD so I'm buying a copy.
