There's not much more that can be said about this . Over the course of the campaign:
There is an odd pattern here of an inability to say, even in mundane circumstances, "yeah, I messed up."
TOPICS: Politics/Elections
KEYWORDS: blame; kerry
He left out:
- Mrs. Kerry used the word "Unamerican" in a talk on civility, then imediately thereafter denied doing so and told a reporter to "shove it" when she was asked to elaborate on what she meant.

Also, he said he quit the VVAW before the Kansas City meeting where they discussed assassinating senators, but later admitted that, yeah, he was at that meeting (but quit that night supposedly)

And Kerry blew a gasket when a man at a rally asked him for the names of his foreign supporters. Also, whenever anyone brings up his weak Senate voting record on defense, he accuses them of attacking his patriotism.
Kerry and his second heiress wife are both head cases. They CAN'T get into the White House.

(If Kerry becomes President, nothing bad will happen for which he won't have an excuse.)
To: dano1
There's a certain childish inconsistency here. When caught in something that makes him look bad, it's someone elses fault not his. When something could make him look good, then it's all his doing and no one else is given any credit. He's a perpetual victim of the "bad guys."
Conspiricy, thy name is Kerry.
If I was Kerry and had no more support following the convention than he does, damned if I don't think I'd start carrying a gun.

"Conspiricy, thy name is Kerry."
or maybe just 'Conspiracy'. . .;^)
As for taking credit; Kerry could not refrain from repeating. . .that he made the same recommendations for security, long before the 9/11 panel. . .and of course, had Bush JUST followed HIS recommendations. . .
The man is an empty suit and in turn, no more than a dispiriting blowhard.
. . .and with just more than a bit of that 'Nixon paranoia'. . .

And when he threw out the first pitch at Fenway Park last week, he said he "held back" and "tried to lob it gently" out of concern for the National Guard soldier and Iraq veteran who was standing in as catcher.
What a selfish act on Kerry's part. He denied that poor soldier a chance for a Purple Heart.

Also:
- Kerry's conflicting statements over the years about throwing (his vs. someone else's) (ribbons vs. medals) onto the White House lawn.
