But as long as we need foreign workers, and as long as men are willing to risk their lives to feed their families, there will always be immigrants, legal or illegal.
We should return to the policy of allowing laborers to freely enter the US at crossing points where they can be ID ed and searched for contraband. This would free up the border patrol agents to concentrate on drug smugglers and terrorists who can't get through the crossing points.

LOL Yeah, they added 300 something new guards, promptly removed them to the Canadian border, and now a few are back. As long as the amnesty loving crowd on both sides refuse to do something serious about the problem, we're dead meat. When they're serious they'll apply RICO to any employer, confiscate his property and have him do mandatory jailtime. The jobs for illegals will be gone within 1 day. Legislaters then will cut off the theft of taxpayer pockets by dropping the Anchor babie provisions and all forms of public assistance they now enjoy. They'll deport themselves and the smugglers will be all but out of business. Until they do that, there is zero hope that we will keep out anyone who wants to come in. Zero.
