I attempted to stay awake to catch at least a portion of Jayna Davis on Coast to Coast I failed at my attempt. I listened to all 3 hours. I haven't read her book yet, so this was my first comprehensive exposure to her material.
I was busy installing an old copy of Visual C++ .Net 2002 and listening to the program in the background. Here are some points:
- McVeigh and Nichols were recruited "lily whites". While the press has characterized them as "right wing militia", that is far from the truth. They were anti-American with the kind of issues that Osama bin Laden frequently spews.
- McVeigh or Nichols (not certain which) had a Filipino wife. He would sneak out at 5 AM in the morning to use a pay phone to call untraceable numbers in the Philippines. He used a calling card. Over 200 such calls are documented. The contacted parties in the Philippines are associated with Abu Sayyef.
- The truck bomb was a middle eastern design according to a couple Israeli bomb experts who examined the site. It was a near perfect detonation.
- The "third terrorist" was an Iraqi army officer. He was observed driving away from the explosion site in a brown Chevy truck. Nearly the only vehicle moving in the chaos following the explosion. The man has been picked out by eye witnesses in a lineup. The FBI won't prosecute the man, but also won't declare him "cleared".
- The "third terrorist" took a job at Logan airport. Davis believes he was instrumental in providing support to the aircraft that left Logan airport and slammed into the WTC on 9-11-2001. She believes the failure of the FBI to get this individual into custody is part of the reason the attack on 9-11-2001 succeeded.
- The government has continued to ignore the material gathered by Jayna Davis. She has defended the material in court. The government took possession of materials from Davis with the promise to follow through with an investigation, then conveniently "lost" the material.
