Kerry unveils campaign blueprint during visit to Grand Rapids
Monday, August 02, 2004
By Steven Harmon and Jim Harger The Grand Rapids Press
With a Grand Rapids Fire Department ladder truck as a backdrop, John Kerry this morning held up his campaign's new book, which includes his plans to fight terrorism and improve homeland security if he is elected president.
"The question is not are we safer, the question is are we safe as we ought to be given the opportunities we ought to have," said Kerry, who was introduced by Tony Beurkens, president of the Grand Rapids firefighters' union.

And the Kerry campaign thinks the undecideds are simple-minded and gullible - prepared to buy his lies and inconsistencies.
How much did Bush lose Michigan by in 2000? I like to think it is very much in play this time around.
Of course. He's got the Hate Bush vote locked up and he's preaching to the already converted. He's not winning any NEW votes with silly stunts like a new book that goes over proposals that have been implemented and are under implementation by the U.S Government as of this writing. John F*ckin' puts politics ahead of the country's interests. President Bush puts America's welfare ahead of his re-election concerns. The difference between the two major party candidates is as wide as the difference between night and day.
This michigan resident and FORMER Buchanan voter agrees.
And, with sentences like this he proves that he's none too well versed in the english language.
One person said 20-25,000 were there, the next article says 12,000, the next article says 10,000.
I'm sure they probably got those numbers from supporters so I'm guessing the REAL number is probably 1-2,000 people showed up!! HAH!!
Here's the articles I found:

Oh, G-d: please, PLEASE let this bonehead repeat that line another couple of hundred times, between now and Election Day.
Is Baguette Boy really, truly that tone deaf to how gibbering, balls-out LOONY he sounds, whenever he drones something like that? How the hell has he been getting re-re-re-elected all these years, if he's genuinely that incompetent at reading the electorate...? :)
John Kerry is so out of touch with the homeland security picture in the United States that he doesn't realize that virtually all of his homeland security proposals are already being implemented right now by President Bush.
As part of his "Plan to Make America Stronger and Safer," John Kerry sets forth six initiatives that he claims he would pursue if he was elected President.
Kerry's six initiatives cover 17 separate homeland security issues, and break down into 33 discrete proposals. Of Kerry's 33 homeland security proposals, 31 are already being implemented by President Bush.
I happened to find a few Bush supporters, one of which had been at the fire department, town hall type meeting. He said Kerry wasn't impressive and took questions from only Kerry volunteers.
Anyway, I was surprised at the turnout at the rally on a very hot and muggy day. Having said that, the word in Michigan is that turnout will decide. Kerry doesn't have a significant lead in a state Gore took by 5 in 2000.
After today, I want the bimper sticker.
Billy Carter: you just can't take him anywhere....
Campaign blueprint
You just dont appreciate the fact that kerry is "nuanced" l0l
He's going to charge potential voters to find out what his plan is??
It's somewhat like 1996 without a Perot factor.
MIGOP calls these suspicious looking characters "rabblerousers".
