Catholic Group Rips Sister of John Kerry Posted Aug. 2, 2004

A Catholic antiabortion group is complaining John Kerry's sister, a U.S. civil servant, is campaigning for her brother at taxpayer expense. Peggy Kerry, who works at the U.S. mission to the United Nations, told "a campaign crowd of feminists" in Boston that, if elected, her brother would overturn various White House policies, such as barring funds for U.N. population-control efforts, the Catholic Family and Human Rights Institute said.

The State Department confirmed Kerry's sister had sought advice on laws about campaigning, the Washington Post reported Monday. "At one time, career civil servants, like Kerry, were forbidden to make campaign appearances," the Catholic group said, "though that has now changed."

The institute said Peggy Kerry was a Clinton political appointee whose "job was made permanent in the early days of the Bush administration." The group said she "is best known for booking the U.N. press office on behalf of Catholics for a Free Choice [a pro-abortion group] when they announced their campaign to 'throw the Catholic Church out of the U.N..'"

Particularly for controlling the population of the 'inferior beings' so that we can 'breed a race of thoroughbreds'. Words in quotes are from Margaret Sanger, founder of Planned Parenthood and quite a fan of eugenics.

Just how is it legal for the U.S. to a support group describing itself as "Catholics for x"? This is a clear support by the U.S. government with tax payer dollars in pursuit of a 'religious' entity - no matter that the Catholic Church qua church does not support its efforts.
