BOSTON, United States (AFP) - So you think you're sexy, smart and liberal? Fed up with talking politics with a tired partner? Try "Johnny's Girls," a Democratic dating link that is not for conservatives, no matter how caring they are.
Christina 'CJ' Frogozo, fitted out in a white shirt with silver stars and plunging neckline, is one of Johnny's Girls and founder of the www.demdates.com website in April 2004, after what she calls "some creative campaigning" in Los Angeles.
The site has been getting around 10,000 "hits" a week and has 350 people registered looking for love with a fellow Democrat.
Frogozo had been, according to her website, part of Democratic vice presidential candidate John Edwards (news - web sites)' "best looking supporters, hitting the bars on behalf of their favorite candidate to inspire the young men of the city to take an interest in the political world.
"Frustrated by the abundance of Republican men before her, Frogozo knew she had to find a forum where a gal could find a 'good man', namely, a Democrat."
Her website now serves as a dating service, "allowing 'good men' to meet smart, sexy, and liberal gals, and as a forum for forming new friendships, networking and campaigning among 'young America'."
In addition to creating what she calls "an online community," demDates.com "hosts parties in a growing number of cities nationwide. Look for us at your favorite hangout - we're the cute ones in the 'Smart, Sexy, Liberal' tees!"
The website has no "direct links" with the Democratic Party, although Frogozo said it has "close ties with the Democratic National Convention."
Although she said Edwards is the more charismatic member of the Democratic ticket, Fregozo insisted she likes presidential candidate John Kerry (news - web sites) just as well.
"I love both Johns," she gushed. "I think they are terrific candidates. I think that it's a really good chance we have to win, with Kerry's experience in the political arena and in combat and then we have Edwards' charisma. It's a terrific combination."
But, she added, "I think Edwards is a very attractive man. If he were single, I would date him."
Fregozo did not start out as a dyed-in-the-wool Democrat.
"I've dated many Republicans," she confessed. "Part of the reason I started demdates.com is that I was dating a Republican.
"We broke up. He was very adamant about his views. However, I did convince him to donate money to the Edwards campaign in the primaries and to vote for him. He actually showed up and they told him, "Your're a registered Republican. You can't vote for Edwards in the primary."
Although Fregozo believes Democrats "have sexier politicians than the Republicans," she said her website is not only geared to linking up Democrats with Democrats.
"It's also to create wider appeal for people who are swing voters," she said.
"My bottom line is to appeal to young people. If we get Kerry into office and all the other Democratic senators and people into office, we'll show a really unified party and get more people in the party."
And this loser wonders why she fails at relationships? Maybe its because she demands ideological purity (Achtung! Schnell!) instead of commitment and unconditional love? It is her that is the problem here.
So now she can look for that democrat man who will cheat on her, smoke dope in her apartment with his friends, eat her food, and bum money from her, instead of her responsible ex-boyfriend.
You do not remember her on Larry King live , when Al Gore was running against President Bush for the Presidency? When she could ..like... make a complete sentence or complete a thought...she was like ....Bashing Bush.
The website has no "direct links" with the Democratic Party, although Frogozo said it has "close ties with the Democratic National Convention."
It's a thinly disguised front for a prostitution ring. I'd bet money.
Ain't it the truth. Now, that's funny.
LOL! Reminds me of a humorous story I read a couple of years ago about how a conservative male should approach dating liberal women. It was quite funny and suggested that if you just wanted to date and have a few quickies, then lie through your teeth. But if for some strange reason you wanted to MARRY one, you should own up to who you really were and ask the woman if she REALLY wanted a limp wristed, whiny, touchy-feely, girly man who would abandon her for his homosexual lover in a few years or did she want a steady, reliable man who would be the rock whe needed.

Lead singer of the Pretenders:
At a recent concert in San Francisco(April 03, 2003) , she screamed: "We (expletive) deserve to get bombed. Bring it on ... Bring it on, I hope the Muslims win!" When someone in the crowd yelled his disagreement, she invited him up on stage -- so she and the band could beat him up.
please help me find a girlie man who can make a decision. if he was a member of a political party, my good friend will rogers, would say he is not a member of any organized party -he is a democrat.
You got that right. I know some liberal females who are smart in the sense that they could take a college level course in a difficult subject and do well. In other words, they have the ability to study information, learn it, and apply it. That's what we traditionally have called "book learning", as opposed to common sense. A lot of liberals of both sexes have that. Think of how many liberal college professors of both sexes can quote Shakespeare or understand chemistry, but still think the differences between men and women are sociological creations or that al-Qaeda attacked us because we were mean to them.
But most females I know who fit the above classification aren't particularly attractive. They have "book learning" and even have a decent IQ but lack common sense, and are generally unattractive.
Attactive female liberals I know are stupid airheads. They're like ditzy female celebrities. They may be cute and pretty, but if you ask them about the Iraq War, they'll say, "War is, like, you know, bad, because it, you know, like kills people and stuff." If you ask them why they favor gay marriage, they'll say, "Love is, like, good, it's, you know, like, so cool to see, you know, like, people, like, love each other and stuff."
I'd say it's nearly impossible to find a liberal female who is A) pretty, B) has a lot of "book learning", and C) has common sense.
In fact, I've never met a liberal of either sex who had common sense, no matter how they looked or how educated they were.
My, my, my. How tolerant of them. How inclusive. How dedicated to celebrating diversity.
Oxymoron, like "jumbo shrimp, "military intelligence," and "good sex with Dr. Ruth."
I'm also trying to sort out the congruity of congress critters getting upset when someone lies to them.
Too much information ...
All I can say to these liberal women is lots of luck. From my observation I can guess that any libral white male is probably horrified at the thought of sweating during coitus. Their dating pool is probably confined to a few men out of their reach such as Bill Clinton and his hollywood freak buddies if they are not secretly gay. When Lurch was nominated and those veterans stood up there as props I asked myself how did the Democrats find so many average white men in their party?

Hey, Jeeves, I enjoyed a long weekend in San Fran weekend before last. We stayed at the Argonaut, just a couple of blocks from Fisherman's Wharf. Took in the Alcatraz tour, a sunset cruise, ate dungy's on the pier, tried to sample all 84 of the beers on tap at Jack's Cannery, visited the Golden Gate bridge, tried Dim Sum in Chinatown, etc. All in all, we had a great time. We can't wait to visit again!
One of the street vendors near our hotel was a woman selling "Anyone but Bush" buttons. That got me to thinking: that IS the Democrat platform for 2004. No other "planks", just "We hate Bush, he must go". How pathetic.
Other than that and an anti-Bush slogan I saw painted on a little-used street, I managed to avoid politics for 4 whole days. It was quite refreshing, actually.
