New York has CHANGED since 1984, let alone 1972. Dems now control the county legislators of Nassau, Suffolk, Westchester and other suburban counties and none of these have voted GOP since 1984. The leftward lurch of the NYC suburbs is continuing unabated.
As I said on another thread: New York will go for Bush the day I get to know Britney Spears in the biblical sense.
