Yep it is ironic when a leftist concept, someone is responsible for someone else offending someone, ie employer is responsible for one employee offending another. It is however sad that the American principle of free speech might be the one that loses. Of course in this case:

1. There is no free speech issue, this is a matter of a private company not the government deciding appropriateness at its place of business.

2. I would hope the Airline is not reacting to the leftist harrassment threat, but I know better.

It's a free speech issue, though not a first amendment one. As you said, the airline company is a private company, so can act in it's own interest & ping the potential customer. Still, it wasn't ready to boot him, 'til it got to be an issue with one of it's employees. ;o)

It would be fun to watch them twist themselves into their bizarre shapes over their self inflicted contradictions like this one if everyone could sit it out on the sidelines, but that's not possible, cuz they've been too successful in placing people between rocks & hard places.
