said Howard Simon, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Florida. "If they want to permit this kind of action by flight attendants, then they better have a clear policy that is announced in advance and made known to passengers in advance."

Fair enough. How about "We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason."?

I doubt that the flight attendant just walked up and yelled at them. These rude, inconsiderate people's rights stop where other people's rights begin. Particularly when children would be subjected to such garbage.

A shirt like that might be acceptable attire at a Costa Rican beach bar, but AA had every right to insist that the passenger not wear it aboard the flight. Obviously, the passenger felt that displaying a picture of nudity was more important than taking the connecting flight.

That's a weird decision on his part, but he made it.

And I say,

GOOD! For American Airlines!

Wha a low-life that guy is. Dispicable.

Basically, if the ACLU is in favor of freedom, as it claims to be, then why does it not support the airlines right to do business in the manner that the airline sees fit?

I agree with the airlines. Surely he had another shirt he could wear. I'm tired of being bombed by porn and I don't want to sit next to a High Heffner wanna be.

Uncle Seamus doesn't fly.

Not on planes, anyway...

I've just been to the American Airlines contact page and thanked them for their actions.

They did the right thing.

Articles like this only reinforce my decision to never fly again. If I can't drive there, it's not worth visiting. (Exceptions made for overseas destinations. That's what ships are for :)

Actually, I'd rather the airlines would kick off some of those rather unattractive, portly flight attendants.,..

Watching the "Airline" marathon now running on A&E cable, I don't think I would last long as a airline service person before I punched somebody. Sure, sometimes the airline screws up, but there are so many passengers that are just really rude and expect the impossible -- of course, the TV show probably shows the worst of the lot.
