I understand the reason for these alerts... So do I. It's so after the nuke goes off, the media can't crucify everyone from the President to the Fire Chief for "ignoring the warnings."
It has no other purpose.

Dean has really gone over the edge in a way that is as dangerous .. the terrorists don't need bombs when they have Howard Dean. What a disgrace !!!!!!

Imagine that. Code Red in New York won't be dramatically different than Code Orange.
There's a reason for this, folks. New York is already a police state, so it was effectively operating at something similar to "Dark Yellow" even before 9/11.

My 2 cents is that it is related to the holders of the South African passports. They finally got them to sing.

Sheesh. I remember the good old days when conspiracy theorists were known by their proper term: kooks. Now they run for president. Excellent point. I was just watching FOX where they had 2 talking heads from each party.
Kerry's guy ticked me off. You see, they say we want to go forward but the Bush folks want to live in the past. If that is their direction, I assure we can come up with his record the last 20 years.
Does nobody get it. When you go for a job interview, college ... , you bring up your past. They need to know your skills, your goals ... so why should we not ask what he has been doing the last 20 years in the congress.

The DUers have already called this a scheme to erode the Kerry bounce. LOL Erode a nothingness? While the Bidens's of the world position themselves...to blame Bush, when/if a terrorist strike occurs.
I just love how the DemoMarxistSocialistLyingLib party members play both sides of the fence....

Dean on CNN saying this is a political ploy by Bush.Lieberman and McConnell must have heard Dean discussing this in the CNN green room--thus their strong denial of the political aspect to the warnings--before Dean got on the air.
Dean is making my blood boil right now. Oh well, Dean thinks Kerry got a bounce from the convention. Now we know he's so way wrong.
